"Arrived into Whanganui and found the hotel easily. After checking in, very easily, we went to our room. Not sure how old the hotel is, but the hall way & guest lounge very 1920’s with modern touches - comfortable & elegant. Our room was another elegant room with lovely touches accenting the period of the property. Though looking “old” the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a corner whirlpool bath, as well as a shower too. We ate in the restaurant that evening & both of us had a lovely meal. Great stay & definitely recommend it."

"Comfortable, clean and well appointed rooms with all you need for a weekend getaway. Rooms are as shown on website, good supply of decent (Dilmah) tea and milk as well as coffee. Beds very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable and black out curtains meant for great sleeping. Super friendly and helpful staff and a business who has facilities and systems for recycling and considering the environment. Fantastic location for walking to shops, cafes, Saturday markets and restaurants. Will stay again."
