Cheap and cozy. Not far from the airport. But hard to find the parking lot. Clean and convenient.

I’ve had 11 amazing days here!! The hostel offers great tours - do yourself a favor and make sure to do the Road To Hana tour! The staff is so sweet, helpful and welcoming! And also, Bruno is the most amazing staff member, the best driver and the best tour guide ofc! :) It will be a good idea to rent a car for a couple of days to get around easier.

The staff was very friendly and helped out with all our requests. They helped with parking and holding two larger bags that we didn't want in our room. They even provided extra linens. The bathroom situation was decent as we usually showered and used the facilities in nonpeak times. The pillows and bed were not the most comfortable, but for the price, it was a good stay for a night.

Not worth it!! Absolutely terrible location with nothing to do and no where to go without taking a 1.5hr bus ride that comes every hour and stops early, so you can't stay anywhere nice for the night. You can't leave the hostel late as the streets are dodgy as well. So you're stuck spending your nights indoors. Rooms are stinking hot with no aircon and no lockers to keep your luggage safe. Plus the beds are super squeaky. The hostel has some great activities, but only for the first 10 people that sign up making it impossible to do the activities.

I don't think I have met more unfriendly staff than at this place. As well, upon check-in, I asked the staff on duty if where I was parked was okay to leave the vehicle, and he checked, and said 'absolutely' (parking is a bit challenging, and I wasn't sure where to do so; it was also quite late - middle of the night). When I checked out in the morning, I found two parking tickets on my vehicle. This could have been avoided if I had been given correct information (there were no signs saying I could not park there). The bed was brutally uncomfortable (sagging, broken springs), and there were no pillowcases on the pillows. The air conditioner unit was broken. This place is also exorbitantly priced for a hostel, even for an expensive location like Maui. The bathrooms were clean and pancakes were delicious. The common area/lobby was clean and attractive.

This hostel was Great and in a great location. Close to a lot of food and shops and to most all of the Maui Bus Lines. The room was comfortable and the AC fan was nice and cool. The Hostel offered free pancakes in the morning and free tours almost every day around the island. The savings over the super expensive hotels in the area is a no-brainer. Overall even though this place can get quite loud. Howzit Hostel is a tremendous Value!

Aloha! I stayed for 2 days, i visited from the Big island & I loved my stay! The staff were absolutely amazing & SUPER HOSPITALITY !! I absolutely loved the new Look and everything! ! I remember when it was upstairs and this is way better than before!!!! I love how well LIT everything is. So much space, Super CLEAN, There are so many activities to do with HOWZ IT hostel, so you can't get board... They have a BUGER NIGHT'S on SUNDAY's From 6pm-8pm. I** stayed in a 8 mixed doorm. I had no issues in the room. The room I was in was super CLEAN and there was no bad smell at all, I will say that It is easy for rooms to get muggy in here in hawaii, so just make sure to Air it out from time to time and you will be fine. the rooms come with A/C and fans as well =D The beds were so comfy.* my personal opinion*... When i was cold, i kindly asked if i can borrow a Blanket and they were so kind to let me use one, also i forgot my towel back ay home and they let me use a TOWEL with no charge! Bathroom's/ Showers were super clean and spacious, I didnt have any issues., If i could give this place a 10 STARS I would! p.s I ran into 2 people that i met before that were working here when i visited i back n 2022!~! Their names are Will& Kara. They are super lovely and they would love to Great you with ALOHA and make you feel so welcomed! Also Matthew is wonderful as well! he is also another Staff that works here, EVERYONE THAT works here are super lovely and friendly! When you see the staff, Say hi and get to know them. EVERYTHING IS AMAZIG !!! I will come here again! Mele Kalikimaka and Happy new Year!
