I don’t typically write reviews, but this time I felt it was important to share our experience so others are aware of the issues we encountered. We also sent an email to management outlining all the issues we experienced, but after six days, we still haven’t received any response — not even a confirmation that they received it. We know the email was received and read because the receptionist, despite initially denying having seen it, somehow she knew exactly what was written in it. 😜 I will detail below the aspects that caused our dissatisfaction: 1. Lack of comfort in the twin beds converted into a double bed In the rooms we booked, the twin beds were joined using a foam wedge covered with a simple sheet. This solution is ineffective without a proper topper that stabilizes the mattresses and provides a smooth sleeping surface. The mattresses shifted during the night, and both I and my sister (who was sharing the bed with two children) ended up sleeping directly on the gap between the mattresses. The result: nights of disrupted sleep and back pain. I was told that this is the standard system, but I am familiar with the product used (available at IKEA) and I know that there are dedicated toppers designed to provide real comfort. I appreciate that reception sent someone to try to fix the situation at least for the last night, but unfortunately, the same solution was applied, so the result was no different. This is the first time I have ever encountered such a situation regarding bed setup in a hotel. Normally, in most hotels, twin beds are properly joined to offer an experience close to that of a real double bed. Unfortunately, this was our first experience of this kind, and the level of discomfort was considerable. I am attaching relevant photos showing the clear difference between the way the bed looked immediately after being made and the state it was in the next morning. 2. Lack of basic amenities – In my room’s bathroom, there was no support for hanging face or body towels. – In my parents’ room the wardrobe had no hangers at all. I had to give them two of the three hangers available in my own room. When I reported these issues to reception, I was advised to use the side hooks of the wardrobe. I then rightly asked whether anyone hangs their towels in the hallway at home, since such improvised solutions do not reflect hotel standards. 3. Minibars not functioning properly The minibars in two of the rooms did not cool at all. I was told that their role is not to cool, but simply to maintain room temperature. In that case, I asked what the point of having a minibar is if it offers no additional functionality compared to an ordinary table. I don’t wish to comment further on this point, but I must mention that this is the first time I have received such an explanation, which I found completely illogical. In my experience so far, a minibar should at least be able to keep drinks or food slightly cool, not at room temperature. 4. No towels provid

This place looked very promising,and there are some good things about this place , but I wouldn’t recommend it. The location is beautiful and everyone was very nice and attentive. Kids have a lot of fun activities including bikes , ping-pong and fishing But, there are some big issues with this place. First of all there is no air conditioning. During the summer months it is a must even though is near the mountains, Room was super hot and humid. But, the most annoying was the fact the bathroom was super smelly and the drainage was blocked. It was so smelly. I almost threw up 🤮. The ladies at the concierge tried to help but the only thing they did it was to put some clor in the drainage. It didn’t help. I think the owners don’t care to much about the place, personally I wouldn’t come back, it is not worth the money.

I spent a weekend at Wolkendorf Conference & Spa for business purposes, and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The location is fresh and peaceful, surrounded by nature, perfect for disconnecting after meetings. The atmosphere is relaxed, with plenty of activities to enjoy in your free time, including a lovely spa area that helps you truly unwind. It’s a great place for business events, but also ideal for a wellness-focused getaway. I’d definitely return!

I recently spent a weekend at Wolkendorf Bio Hotel & Spa, and it was an absolute delight! The best experiences were the spa and the traditional restaurant, where we served delicious meals, and the breakfast each morning was a delightful start of the day.

Had a great stay with my two kids, they loved the daily activities. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent service. Very clean. I loved the relaxed and chilled feeling of the place and when I need a place to charge my batteries, I will definitely come back

Our experience with this hotel was not as we imagined… The price for the 3 nights stay during New Years Eve was huge (1500€ for 3 nights) but the activities on the schedule seemed to be very nice (there were nice campfire activities, food and drinks by the fire, kids club activities with hot chocolate and marshmallows by the fire and a nice New Years Eve party), that’s why we booked the holiday. It was dissapointing to see that we arrived there and nothing was as scheduled!!! They only wrote the schedule to attract people into booking the holiday, but in reality everything was very dull. -the rooms are very small and with no place to put your clothes (one wardrobe for 2 adults and 2 children); -the bathroom was full of water all the time from the shower that didn’t have a shower curtain or a glass; - the common toilets from the resort were very dirty all the time; - The New Years Eve party was a total failure, except the music, which was great, but the food came very late and it wasn’t very good, and there was 1 bartender for 100 people!! - After the failed party and the absent promised activities we asked to talk to the manager who never showed up, but he called us and send a message that he will try to fix the problems for the next day, yet nothing changed- the party scheduled on the 1st of January had the same food, not enough for all the people in the restaurant and almost no desert (except for some cookies). - The outside pools were poorly maintained, only one was working, the rest were full of leaves and branches. - The spa is quite big and nice, but half of the facilities were closed when we wanted to attend them! In conclusion, I would never recommend this hotel and I still expect a refund from them for the ruined New Years Eve holiday for which we payed 1500€ for 3 nights-stay!! Ps: I would recommend Conacul Ambient, which is nearby and a very nice and cosy hotel with lots of kids activities!

One day before the booked arrival date, we were informed by the hotel that our room wasn’t going to be available due to “water damage”. We stayed with local friends for that one night and checked in the following day. During the stay we found that the hotel had been overbooked and that the “water damage “ was a pure excuse. Despite multiple confirmations by the hotel’s management and several reminders, we never received the credit for the first night for the room, although we had paid the amount due for the entire stay in advance. Neither did we get any response from the hotel management when sending reminders! Therefore we warn anyone who’s considering this hotel, in particular, do NOT pay in advance!

Excepting the location and part of the facilities our experience with this hotel was bad. After the 1st night in this hotel some guest start having digestive problems. Soon we were in the same situation. We've been with our 2 years old kid twice to the emergency room and had dificulties in leaving the location as his medical condition was not good. Our vacantion was ruined. We moved to a different hotel in the region but my little boy and my husband were feeling bad and we had to rest in the room. After 3 days of vomiting we are strugeling in returning home and driving in this medical condition. The spinach served in the salad was full of sand as it was not washed, we asked for a topper to put it over the bed ( at order and at the location also) but was never provided, cleaning in the room was not ensured during the entire stay. BioHotel name is not aligned with reality, they must take in serious the need of ensuring health and safety standards for the future.
