Minos Imperial Luxury Beach Resort & Spa Milatos ★★★★★
"Beautiful hotel in a excellent location !!! We book a beach front island suite with jacuzzi! The Seaview was very beautiful to the ocean and the room was very clean. The a la carte restaurants dishes were very tasty. The staff members were very kind to us. We stayed for a whole week and found it ro be excellent value for money. Also, the hotel offers a variety of clean swimming pools, with some designated as adults-only, providing quieter and more relaxing atmosphere!"
Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort ★★★★★
"aegeo spa-Massage therapist - „CHRYSA“ I have received dozens of massages across 19 countries, but this was a masterclass in massage therapy. For the first time ever, I was able to deeply relax. The execution was exquisite, flawless, and deeply heartfelt. Pure poetry in motion. It truly cannot get any better than this!!!"

Bella Vista Appartments Sissi ★★★
"9/Sept/24 Stayed at Bella Vista 2years ago.Been taken over again, the only staff from previous visit is Vangelis he works the bar. I feel so sorry for him having to deal with all the customer complaints at the moment would not suprise me if he leaves at end of season too, he's the only asset the hotel has got and trying his best to deal with it all. When the owners daughter Georgia works the bar the price of your drinks are never the same even when your order is the same, thankfully vangelis sorts it later. The pool is filthy and so murky you cant see the bottom its full of insects, and the edges have a tide mark of algae so i wouldn't risk getting in it. The snack bar isn't open, but every afternoon around 4oclock the owners sit in the snack bar area to eat their meal and have a glass of wine, something we'd loved to have done but sadly not this time, i found it quite rude of them to do it to be honest especially when the hotel advertises a snack bar open. The smell of their lunch wafting around the pool area sets stomachs a rumbling. Its 7euro in a taxi to the nearest supermarket as its in the village also the nearest restaurant and pub. We were aware of that when we booked and that was fine for us but like many here today sitting around the pool we like to have snacks at lunch time with a glass or two of ouzo. Even if you could walk the village for supplies in this heat it would wipe you out simply carrying it back. Walk the village and taxi back with the shopping so add the extra 7euros on to the bill We won't be returning i would have preferred to give a zero star but couldn't, the star I gave is for Vangelis"

Porto Sisi Hotel Apartments
"Comfortable, traditional 1 bed apartment, spotlessly clean, front line with great sea front views (Apt 14). We very much enjoyed our stay and do hope to visit again. Very close to some fabulous restaurants, tavernas and shops - lots of choice in Sissi village. Friendly staff and great pool too. Great comms. Thank you Anthi"
Milatos Village Cretan Agrotourism Hotel
"This beautiful place is so lovely, we stayed for 4 nights as it was a perfect location for us , and the reviews were great However , we decided to turn up with out booking, Alice and Kat weren’t there , so we called Alice from there place , first impressions rude 😳but we said we would wait 2 hours for there return around the pool as we had been driving 3 hours , it was very hot, we had in the car our own drinks but they were warm, there was a bar round the pool so we thought it wouldn’t be a problem to borrow some ice and 2 glasses 🙈however Alice returned when my husband was getting ice and we were shocked 😳 we were chastised told of like naughty children, I couldn’t believe her behaviour, we in France have gites and look after friends gites and make sure our quest have the best time possible, we are both 62 not kids , ice water 💦 nothing else. We stayed 4 nights and didn’t eat or drink or use the pool after her outburst, it spoilt the stay there , we also saw someone else not happy and they checked out late 🧐 The place is beautiful and clean, but I really don’t understand why anyone would be so upset over frozen water been taken 😞😞🤨"

Maritimo Beach Hotel
"Having the worst experience and it’s only day 1!!! The phone in the room doesn’t work. The staff are unavailable to help most of the time but when they are available they try their best. The food is terrible. My room is freezing cold and smells like damp 😢 what else can go wrong?"
Castello Boutique Resort & Spa - Adults Only
"This is really lovely hotel but again 4 star not 5 The staff are all excelleant, especialy the reception staff and the bar staff, they could not be anymore pleasant and helpful if they tried, always smiling chatting asking how your holiday was going. The bar staff would daily bring little treats around the pool, nice touch Our room was beautiful overlooking the pool and the church and there was nothing to complain about, the cleaner came in each day, and we had fresh towels as needed, lovely cake and free local greek drink left for us each day The food was nice but the restaurant a little under managed, no spoons with tea and coffee, no clear direction on arrival and the soup always cold. The menu is varied and very nice but the salad bars and starters all very much the same night after night. We ate out locally every lunchtime as we were half board but also ate twice in the week in the local greek restaurant. We attended a Greek night at Amelias, it was fantastic The sunbeds were very worn in places, ripped cushions and the parasols were not very secure. There was room for more sunbeds and i dont see why they cant have enough sunbeds for all guests seeing its such a small hotel"
Angela Suites Boutique Hotel
"We recently returned from a lovely stay at Angela Suites. We had a spacious deluxe double room with balcony which unfortunately didn't have a view. We were in a block of 9, the bottom 3 having direct access to their own pool. We all faced onto the side wall of another block which was disappointing. The room was spotless, however quite dated, including the bathroom. Breakfast was satisfactory and served until 10.30. The breakfast staff were so friendly and very attentive. The pool was 1.4m in depth throughout. Never any problem getting a sunbed during the day. Pool towels are also provided by the Hotel. The Angela Studio Apts are across the road and have full use of the Hotels facilities. These are 3 star and the apartments have views of the mountains. If we were to return in the future we would definitely choose the Studios. The tourist tax for these is €2 per night compared to the €15 per night we paid on checkout for 11 nights! A huge amount when really there is no real difference between the 2 accommodations. Please bear in mind the Hotel is not 5* This is an excellent 3.5* Hotel which we would return to again. If you come expecting 5* you will be disappointed. Fortunately, we read the reviews before we came and knew not to expect 5*"
Vasia Resort and Spa, Sissi, Crete
"This 'resort' is not as advertised nor is it in the right price bracket or star rating. What irritated me is that there was so much that was avoidable and I got the sense that it could have been so much better. The positives - the pools were clean and refreshing but I didn't see any accessible ways to get in and out for people with mobility issues. The location is good, Sissi is a lovely little seaside village with an interesting new church and some great views. At this point I would normally say "staff were polite and helpful" and the truth is that the majority were - but many were young and inexperienced, we witnessed arguments between them and were shocked when a receptionist told us that they didn't have security - a manager came out and told us that the staff member was new and didn't know but that they did have security. This was after expressing concern about worrying levels of hostile voices from the room next to us - the walls are thin. The negatives are so many that there is not enough space to mention them all. - The food was not great and was lower end food stuffs. The a la carte restaurants are to be avoided, they are worse than the buffet. others complained, some walked out. The room was very poor. We had a suite which meant that it had a separate dayroom with couches. Except they weren't, they were two single beds and when we said that we thought we would have a sitting area there they just offered to put more pillows on it! All the furnishings were old and worn and our double bed was made up using two single sheets laid across the bed so you went between them when you got in. The room had a safe, you get the key from reception and the fob has the room number on it - so if you left the key anywhere the person who found it would know which room to go to. The toilet seat was stained with red marks and the toilet brush was dirty - I could go on and on. The lifts broke down on us 3 times leaving us stuck between floors in complete darkness, on one occasion the doors opened between floors and another time it stopped a foot before the floor. When I asked about the lifts I was told "yes, this happens when we have had a power cut" - we had a few power cuts, which also resets the air con. We went all inclusive but ended up eating out and getting supplies from shops. The drinks were a mixed bag and limited. The all inclusive whisky was Ballantine's which I was OK with under the circumstances but the Vodka seemed to change. HOWEVER, the soft drinks were very bad - no diet options and the cola was some of the cheapest own brand rubbish I have ever had - spoiling anything it went into. Something I never got my head around was the glass or plastic policy. If you ordered a drink from the pool bar to have there (you can eat around the bar) it would be in a glass. If you wanted to take it to the other pool or your room it was in plastic. The result was that you had plastic in the safety of your room but glass around the top pool."
Angela Studios Apartments
"We had an 11 day stay at these apartments with Jet2 on a B & B basis. This was our second visit to Sissi and the Angela chosen for its proximity to restaurants. On arrival check in was swift, efficient and, after a welcome drink, we were taken to our first floor apartment (just across he road from the main hotel complex). We were given assistance with our cases and provided with information on air conditioning, safe and free pool towels. All staff were welcoming, friendly and breakfast service was extremely efficient. Good selection of hot and cold food and nothing was too much trouble. No problems getting a sunbed and the whole complex was well managed. Cleanliness was excellent with regular changing of towels and bedding by a very pleasant cleaner. There was a second hand book library and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend."
Sisi Breeze Hotel
"Beautiful place with beautiful hosts"
Mila Sissi Bay Hotel
"Arrived by private transfer arranged by the hotel at our request. Just 30 minutes. I travelled with my 17 yr old daughter for a short break and we were so pleased we booked this hotel. Room - stayed in an urban facing suite which is two separate rooms with a single sofa bed made up as the second bed. Can’t fault the suite. Separate aircon in both rooms. Fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Small balcony with rail to hang wet items. High praise from my daughter - best room ever ! Housekeeping come in every day and are very thorough. Food - we ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel each day. Breakfast items are refilled regularly and varied hot and cold selection. Lunch menu is big with a special each day. Portion sizes are big and quality of food is good, very well priced. Drinks - Hugo spritz, my favourite on the menu ! Staff are attentive without being pushy and brings drinks to the pool area. Big cocktail list Reception- Kathryn is a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgeable on the local area and prompt in dealing with requests. There is a shower room in the reception block to use if you are leaving after check out time. Sissi village - we ate at different restaurants each evening and every meal was fantastic. Greek night at Amelia’s is great fun, happens on Tuesday and Thursday. We booked to ensure a table. The village is lovely, felt so safe and friendly. Overall, sea views, lovely pool area with sun beds always available and great staff in a fantastic location. A great relaxing holiday x"
Alexandros Hotel
"We primarily chose this hotel due to the previous excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. After spending a week at the Alexandros Hotel, we can happily say that all our expectations were exceeded. From the moment we arrived at 2:00 am in the morning to the day we left, we were treated as valued guests. This family run hotel offers a warm welcome, great amenities and delicious (and plentiful!) food. All the staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and our room had a daily housekeeping service and comfy beds. The pool was a good size and there were plenty of sun beds and parasols, with the pool bar being really convenient, offering a wide variety of drinks and food at very reasonable prices. A short stroll into the centre of the village, the hotel is well positioned to explore the delightful fishing village of Sissi. Thank you Paul, Maria and family for a wonderfully relaxing stay; like many other reviewers and other guests we met whilst there, we will certainly be returning."
