"This was an AMAZING place to stay with unbelievable views. The staff were extremely friendly and super helpful! The breakfast in the morning was delicious, as was the coffee. The spa services were FABULOUS and paddle boarding in Lake Lucerne was unforgettable. There is a lounging area with small whirlpool, sauna, and comfortable chairs to relax in the sun. The area had good restaurants and coffee spots, however we traveled about 15-20 mins for meals because there weren't too many options nearby. We did the Rigi cable car up the mountain which was great, but a bit pricey. I would definitely stay here again!"

"We checked in very late, just after the front desk closed. Finding our room key by leaving clues was like a treasure hunt – a delightful surprise! The lake view was stunning. The hotel's antique style was also very elegant! Everything was great, except that because it was so old, there were flying insects in the room! More than a dozen appeared on the bed! My daughter was terrified and wouldn't use the blanket. She didn't sleep well all night, killing over a dozen insects. It was also cold without a blanket. Not sleeping well meant we couldn't get up to see the sunrise the next day, wasting our initial reason for booking a lake view room! The breakfast view was beautiful, but unfortunately, there were flies everywhere! We couldn't get rid of them. It seems there are quite a lot of flies in Switzerland! There are flies in Zurich too! Yesterday, we even had flies at a high-end outdoor restaurant in downtown Lucerne! The male receptionist and female manager at the hotel were very friendly, but there was no compensation offered after we complained the next day. Because we didn't sleep well, we requested a late check-out until 1 pm, which they agreed to. Aside from the insects and flies, the hotel was perfect!"

"My husband and I have just spent 5 days at this fantastic hotel. It was a treat for my 40th birthday. Everything was absolutely glorious (apart from the iffy weather). I was given a lovely cake and bottle of champagne in the room. We had a lake view balcony room and the views are stunning. All the staff are so lovely. We also had the pleasure of meeting the general manager who was a very pleasant gentleman. We had dinner at Focus which was out of this world. The Grill restaurant was also delicious for dinner and breakfast. We had a very relaxing couples massage. I swam in the lake a couple of times. It was so cold but so refreshing. We don’t have many opportunities at home to do this so I had to make the most of it while I was there. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Just book it! Thanks Park Hotel Vitznau. Amy & Craig 🥰"

"Vitznau is a beautiful small town. We traveled from Zurich taking trains and busses, the hotel is a short walk from the bus stop. The hotel is very aesthetic and has been recently renovated. The staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. It rained while we were there but the hotel can keep you entertained with the views, restaurants, spa, and pool. We ate at Sens which was outside (covered) by the lake, and we highly recommend eating at Inspiration. It was a wonderful experience. We also did a day in Lucerne, about an hour with bus and trains and the hotel helped us with directions."

"I wanted this to be a 5 star experience. We arrived after multiple confirmations after a long flight, with a promise of an earlier check in…with no accommodation. In fact, after 8 hours of waiting, we were given a late check in. Dinner there was terrible. After 3 hours of waiting for our food, we sent our kids to bed and my husband received his meal. I declined mine at that point. They did comp our dinner with no explanation. Lastly, my daughter had an ear infection that required medical assistance. At any other five star (over $4500 a night we paid) property in the world, this would have been easily coordinated…instead, the front desk was visibly annoyed to have to accommodate a trip to the clinic. It was so sad as we were Virtuoso guests, and the property is stunning. However, it was a below average experience anytime we had to interact with the staff."
