As the title says - overall, from strolling the boardwalk and researching a lot of other options I think this is probably one of the nicer/newer resorts in VA Beach. This hotel, the Marriott and the Cavalier Beach Club all share some level of being in the same "Cavalier Resort." However, that doesn't mean much, just some common parking area in the garage. Otherwise, each hotel has it's seperate pool areas and restaurant(s). Which brings me to two of my complaints. The first is that this hotel does not have a hot tub. It would have been awesome given how nice the pool/beach areas and landscaping are. Furthermore, the Cavalier and Marriott both have hot tubs but guests aren't able to use the pool/hot tubs at the other two hotels. The second complaint is that the parking attendant for the resort, upon entry, was extremely rude. He acted confused why we stopped when there is a large sign that says "stop for attendant...." Not a big deal but did not set the first impression great. Anyways, this hotel is newly built so the rooms and lobby, and as said the pool areas, are all very nice. The hotels are large and have balconies which are a huge plus. I think almost all the rooms should have at least partial ocean views from the building's orientation. The breakfast is also very good. Special shout out to the omelet station and the very nice gentlemen who works it. The only downside is that the hotel tries to quickly flip this lobby space for lunch, so there is no coffee/tea/water station accessible after noon. And a mild lack of seating because of it.
