Drive to the place after get off work on the holiday day, so it is late to the place. Because the hotel is built on the mountainside, the store has left an employee reception, because it is basically 12 o'clock in the evening, so the boss is still very hearty. This 100-year-old Republic of China villa is very conveniently located, within walking distance of Jianchi and Chairman Mao's residence, and the scenery around the villa is also beautiful. Listening to the trickling water, seeing the lush greenery of spring before your eyes, having a cup of Moganshan Huangya tea, reading Bill Porter's ”The Man Not Seen”, you will be immersed in tranquility and comfort.
The rooms are elegantly decorated, retaining the charm of the old house while also offering the comfort of modern life. The store owner and all the staff must be people who love life very much, to take such good care of this villa.
Not to mention the service, which is very considerate and thoughtful. The family portrait taken by the store received unanimous praise from the whole family. I really want to praise you guys!
After leaving Mogan Mountain and returning home, I was still savoring the aroma. I could only drink the yellow bud tea I brought back to satisfy my craving.

We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation.
For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel.
But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

A very unique homestay! As soon as you enter the gate, you feel like you are in a secret house in the mountains, which is quite nice. The area around the hotel is very quiet. The Sky City has two separate bedrooms with a shared large balcony facing the mountain view, which is very beautiful. It was sunny on the first day of my stay, but it was rainy and foggy on the second day, just like a fairyland. The housekeeper Jinxia was very nice and friendly. The service was very timely. She even prepared some fireworks for the guests to set off during the Spring Festival, which was great. The dinner cooked by auntie was delicious and the breakfast was also very rich. It’s a pity that the vegetation is resting in winter, so we’ll have to come back next spring!

First of all, the room is very comfortable. We can accommodate 10 people so that most of them can have a king size bed 🤣 The bath products used are all from Shiseido, give the first praise. Secondly, we didn't make an appointment until almost 2 o'clock the next day to have a barbecue in the evening and also helped to buy side dishes. Thank you very much, and give it the second praise. The pictures were so promising, the actual property is just next level.
Welcomed by Jane, the host, we immediately felt at home.
We would not have changed a single object there, nor in the common area. Fully in line with our personal tastes.
We found out later that Jane’s husband, a designer, was behind the the set-up. Not a surprise at all.
In addition to a yummy breakfast, that pas planned, we ended up having a dinner and a late lunch. Both prepared by a super ayi. So tasty and genuine.
We spend a couple of hours in the adjacent bamboo forest. Crispy air, unique light, insane calm (the whole area is so quiet).
We will definitely come back. When weather will allow the use of the welcoming swimming pool.

GGuest UserIf you’re looking for a forest mountain getaway far enough from city life, this hotel is a great escape. The hotel is surrounded by bamboo forests and you can hike into the hills. The hotel was very pet friendly for our three dogs. We hiked through the farmland to the nearby reservoir and even discovered an extremely nice coffee shop at the reservoir. We had dinner at the nearest village at a standard restaurant. The location of the hotel is perfect for what we intended for our trip. The workers at the hotel are very hospitable. “Make yourself at home” was the overall feeling from the staff. The only detractor I experienced was the air conditioning in my room didn’t work and the workers were unable to fix it. The hotel amenities we enjoyed were the pool, bbq grill, and their pet allowance. It was a great stay overall!

The vibe at the house is super cozy, the place is extremely clean and beautifully decorated, with warm colors and a home-vibe all around. Ernest and his team were super supportive since the first moment of the reservation and assisted us immediately through WeChat if any question. We also enjoyed their exquisite Chinese local dinner set; it was tasty and fresh! The breakfast is also very delicious. Finally, the bedroom was really amazing, with one of the best views I’ve had in a countryside hotel by far; just spectacular to relax and get a perfect getaway from the city. The proprietress is very enthusiastic and very nice. The fruit sent was a bit flawed, so I gave it to us again. Also happy to send us to the distribution center. It feels a bit commercial. The room is very simple, just two beds and a table. Even the stools are saved. So it feels a bit expensive. There is a yard where you can park. It is very convenient to go to the street to eat in a few minutes. The picture is just the scenery outside the window and the place to eat. The rooms are all facing south and are very warm. The bedding is also extremely comfortable. The set meal consists of 2 meat dishes, 2 vegetarian dishes and 1 soup. The vegetables and small potatoes are all grown at home; the cooking skills are exquisite, very delicious, cheap and good quality.
