What a lovely place to stay on our Rota Vicentina walk. Sadly, our visit coincided with a terrible forest fire close to the hotel. There was always a chance that we would have to evacuate the village (but in fact this never happened). The concept oif the 'rescued village' worked for us. It really felt that we had our own little house in the centre of the hamlet. The accommodation itself was as good or better than any other hotel we used on the holiday and the breakfast in the morning was great. Definitely the best. Staff were helpful and friendly and the swimming pool looked great, although when we arrived there were no spare loungers so we had to give that experience a miss. Great hospitality.

So charming
Step back in time in this little village near the coast. Each little apartment has a living space, bathroom and a well equipped kitchen which includes microwave oven, stove and Smeg espresso machine on the main floor with winding steps up to a loft with a comfortable bed. The restaurant has a great chef with lots of homemade Portuguese dishes. We highly recommend this place.

We were walking the Rota Vincenta and this was a prebooked hotel as part of the trip. It was lovely. The village buildings, the bar/restaurant, reception, pool, walking in the area. All just fantastic. I cant wait to return. The houses are all individual, ours had self catering options which we did not need to use but it was pretty well appointed. The team on reception were very helpful, bearing in mind we dont speak portuguese or know the country. So all in all a good visit and a stong recommendation.

The houses are restored in the traditional way and therefor really cool. You have to be aware that you hear your neighbor like he is within your house. But wasn’t bad for us. You have 2 restaurants und and a pool. Beach and Surf spots 10-15min away.

A magical place. I would highly recommend. Very attentive managerial staff. Nestled in a small agricultural valley a picturesque village tastefully restored. I will plan to return soon. Perhaps in the summer. There is a pool. I wish there was a sauna! But you cannot not have it all! Enjoy!

Pedralva, a rural village in the concelho of Vila do Bispo, once inhabited by 100 people, has begun a painful process of desertification. Since 2006, it has been restored to habitable condition using old materials. Some of the houses are rented out by Aldeia da Pedralva as "hotel" accommodation. You can use the restaurant and breakfast buffet. The swimming pool is under construction 🚧 and thus closed. The patio of our room Casteljo could not be used as the patio furniture was broken. The property itself is authentic and has everything. However, luxury should not be expected. The property was clean and the bed linen etc was neat.
