Piccola Torre Maison

Location and room and personnel are excellent. Stayed two days, couldn't make a better choice in Vigevano. I arrrived late in the night and had a special request and called in advance and the service was excellent and spoke good english. The deluxe room I took was really something to remember.

I spent two nights at this B&B in May in the Dimora del Teatro building. (The building next door houses the B&B's reception area.) My room was spacious and quiet. It had an unremarkable view of the courtyard and other buildings, but I was very pleased to find that I could park my car in the courtyard of the Dimora del Teatro. There appeared to be about 5 bedrooms in this building, all on the same floor. You are given a key to the courtyard gate. The rooms are one flight up once inside the courtyard, and you have a key to this door as well. Once inside, there is a small breakfast room. The breakfast is simple (yogurt and a croissant). Coffee, tea and biscuits are available at anytime. The bed in my room was a little hard for my tastes, and the shower was accessed by about 3 steep steps. This could be a little precarious for some older travelers. It is nicely decorated (modern). The location is excellent as it's very nearby the sites and main square but provides a tranquil place to stay. The rates are very reasonable. The restaurant next door, La Drogheria, (independent of the B&B) is good. The Leonardiana museum about Leonardo da Vinci is very good (with original sketchbooks and drawings - amazing).

Lovely modern and clean rooms. AC working good and effective. Friendly staff. Breakfast is basic and okay (mostly sweet), but nothing special. Definitely recommended.

Overall it was nice…do need more shelving or storage for personal items in bathroom. Front desk check in was helpful and friendly but when checking out cold and almost rude.
