We had such a lovely two-night stay at the Dashwood. It was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was (The Chelsea), and how beautiful all the old furnishings were. The music as you go upstairs is a subtle but special touch! And the breakfast was another bonus that sets The Dashwood apart from other accommodations. Not to mention being on the water on Dallas Road and within walking distance from Cook Village. For a refreshing change from Air BnB and hotels, give this a try!

I booked a solo trip and loved staying here. The room was exceptional, the service outstanding (as was the breakfast) and the location stunning. The Beacon Hill Park was my favourite place with deer, birds, peacocks, turtles and squirrels roaming. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. The walks on the pebbly beach was fun but the photos I took and the scenery was first class.

Everything was fabulous and everyone, especially Vin, were friendly and extremely accommodating. Great rooms and breakfast was fantastic. Beautiful walk along the bay, across an amazing park, and walking distance to restaurants. Definitely a 5 star!

This a small step back in time with the cozy feel. Pros: this place is across the street from a pebbled beach that you can sun bath and hear the waves at night. Bed was very comfortable and room was pretty. Breakfast here is amazing, food is cooked right there and everything was delicious. No self-service. They had at all times water bottles/coffee/tea/soda in the dinning room. They had games if you wanted the play available. Con: The rug looked like it needed a deep clean The floor squeaks, but it is an older home it’s to be expected. No AC in room, just a fan. No staff after 4:30pm. But there is a number to call if needed. The street is busy at all hours and there is traffic sounds.
