Hotel Al Convento

Vezzano is a deserted town, where it seems that almost no one lives because no one is around. Despite this it is incredibly difficult to find a parking space: where will everyone be? The only positive note is the Osteria Le Pietre restaurant. The hotel has well-kept rooms. The parking is only for a few cars, so it's a sort of lottery... well!... will it be difficult to reserve spaces for all the rooms? Who can ever go to Vezzano without a car?? Breakfast managed in a good way, with packaged products apart from the cakes (good): but if you arrive late, there is little left...I heard myself say: I'm sorry but everyone had breakfast early this morning...I didn't know it was a competition to see who could arrive first !…well….

The staff is obliging, but certainly not friendly or even warm. There is no sign of the hospitality that we have experienced in many accommodations in Italy. Overall, the hotel is a big disappointment. Everything seems to be falling apart and the staff are just doing their job by the book. The "Relais al Convento" is miles away from 3 stars, even for a small hotel in a historic building in an Italian mountain village, except for the prices, which are definitely high-end. We really regret having stayed there. As a family, we were really looking forward to this vacation and now we have to realize that the most beautiful time of the year has turned into a disappointment. If you want to see Cinque Terre and the surrounding area, you will definitely find better accommodation! Here are a few highlights: Bathroom - shower door does not close properly, water runs out - hand shower cannot be attached - shower rail falls apart - no light on the mirror (only small indirect lighting in the whole bathroom) - no power socket - no storage space - towels were sometimes not changed or tea towels were provided as an alternative Room - WiFi does not work in the rooms - cleaning staff do not close the room door properly - remote control for air conditioning only works to turn it on and off, all other buttons immediately switch the system off. We later learned that the A/C only works when the temperature is between 15 and 19 degrees and only has one ventilation level. - only one power socket in each room (both bedside lamps), which must be used for all other purposes, from charging electric toothbrushes to smartphones and the SMS watch. Time is tight as the staff turns the power off in the room and unplugs things. Breakfast - must be ordered by 11 p.m. the day before via a web page, including the time. Later orders are not accepted - Even so, there is still no table available at the specified time or you have to sit separately as a family - You do not get what you have chosen for breakfast despite ordering in advance - There is only one cup of coffee per person - Guests must bring their own water - Drinks are generally not refilled and there are no inquiries about satisfaction or further wishes - Yoghurt is served in a plastic cup and not in a glass or porcelain bowl. You then have to get the cornflakes, which are offered as cereal, in the plastic cup - There is no fresh fruit, e.g. for muesli, only watermelon on some days (or honeydew melon, which you then have to cut yourself - The cooked ham was spoiled - Dry white bread from the day before Hotel in general - The garden is unkempt - The loungers are all over the place and are hidden - You can get into the garden through

Posso solo valutare un inconveniente che si è verificato in fase di prenotazione, dove avevamo avuto garanzie che l'accesso alle stanze sarebbe stato agevole, in quanto mia moglie aveva subito un intervento. la garanzia data dalla persona della reception, era stata la conferma di una stanza al primo piano, senza ascensore ma con una scala comoda. In realtà, arrivati in loco, ci si è presentata una scala ripida per accedere alla reception, oltre a quella per accedere alla stanza, che rendeva per noi il fermarsi. Fino a qui il primo problema, che comunque ci vedeva senza albergo, ma la cosa che trovo commercialmente inaccettabile che non è stata rimborsato l'acconto e che siamo ancora in attesa di una soluzione promessa dalla titolare, contattata telefonicamente. Questa è la motivazione per una mia valutazione negativa, in quanto la nostra richiesta era stata ben evidenziata in fase di prenotazione telefonica e, conseguentemente, imputo alla struttura la situazione accaduta.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo, molto gentili e premurosi. L’ambiente è molto bello e pulito, stanze ottime. Il borgo è molto tranquillo ed essendo in collina sopra La Spezia con il caldo si respira di più . Noi abbiamo usato una Smartbox di 2 notti più colazione e ci hanno subito trovato date utili e una stanza favolosa Grazie ancora a tutto il personale

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo relais. La location è proprio bella e ben curata, il sevizio e l’ospitalità sono stati ottimi. Il relais ha a disposizione posti auto riservati. Adatto a chi preferisce un soggiorno in un posto tranquillo poco distante da Lerici o La Spezia
