January 2025 We are so fortunate to have a resort of this calibre in our midst, so close to Vernon. I had the pleasure of staying for the week following their annual maintenance closure with a group of friends. The new “chef James inspired” dream menu is just that. I was especially impressed with the emphasis on seafood. From the deliciously prepared and delightful presentation of the “seafood tower” (complete with crab legs, oysters on the shell, jumbo prawns, tuna tataki) to the tender and perfectly seasoned calamari, cedar plank steelhead trout, and variations of Ahi tuna all were delightfully delicious. I am always impressed with the many variations they create with mushrooms. Of course, all of the other menu options and amazing desserts were so appreciated.. It is such a joy to see the familiar faces of the breakfast staff… Brandi, Melanie, Charlotte, Becks. The new morning dining room manager Matthew was a breath of fresh air and helpful in so many ways. The front desk staff.. especially Meena, Katelyn, and Raj were consistently welcoming, patient and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed time in the KURSPA and found Jackie (spa manager) and Jacqueline (receptionist) kind and helpful in recommending treatments and suggesting ways to maximize the facility. The “lavender fields scrub” was a real treat. Some of the other women especially enjoyed their facials and the “ glacial clay wrap”. The guest services manager, Rich Singh made our stay so enjoyable with his attention to every detail. The smartly dressed and very pleasant assistant general manager, Craig Pingle is a real asset to the management team. The CEO, Hans-Peter Mayr’s , presence was felt throughout the resort. His warm and informative welcome to our group was so appreciated . We all look forward to returning.
