Golden Tulip Varna
"As part of a tour, we spent a night in this recently built, comfortable, clean hotel, very close to the city center. You can use this hotel as a starting point for a walk around the city center: the cathedral is a 5-minute walk away."
Hotel Palitra
"I liked it, everything was good overall. The location is excellent, the attitude of the staff is also good, the room was cleaned well. A small cozy room."
Ibis Styles Golden Sands Roomer Hotel
"After a thorough research we have chosen this hotel because of good reviews. The hotel is very clean, bright and with an amazing customer service attitude from all staff members (except the lifeguard at the swimming pool who was not very pleasant). We had a few issues in the room on the first day, but they were attended at the same minute we told and resolved very quickly. Our stay was smooth and pleasant. We loved the fact that the hotel was not big and there were no activities or program - just a place to rest. "
Park Hotel Perla
"Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a very disappointing experience. The staff were extremely unfriendly and showed little to no interest in helping guests. Every question or request was met with irritation, and some issues were simply ignored. The room was dirty, with dust, a poorly cleaned bathroom, and it felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. The food was also very disappointing. The selection was very limited, many dishes were served cold, and the quality of the ingredients left much to be desired. The menu barely changed from day to day, so after a couple of days we didn’t even want to eat there anymore. Overall, our impression of the hotel was extremely negative. For the price we paid, we expected a much higher level of service. We would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to anyone."
Apollo Spa Resort - All-Inclusive , Indoor & Outdoor Pools & Individual AC in Every Room
"The best hotel I have ever stayed, everything was perfect thank hotel’s stuff and others"
Ventura Boutique Hotel
"I really liked it, the room was clean, cleaned every day, the room is dark, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage, breakfasts are good, you have to order what to take care of and the quantity, but for me it was sufficient, the service was very nice, helpful. The neighborhood is quiet, there are shops and bars, unfortunately in bars you pay in cash. The beach is close, you can get to the center by bus almost from the hotel about 20-30 minutes. To the airport about 50 minutes with 1 change in the center."
Hotel Amfora
"Very nice hotel, English speaking staff ! However toilet and shower same spot and very little for big ppl :D Overall 4,5/5 very pleased 😌"
Ensana Aquahouse
"Excellent hotel! Clean linens. Daily room cleaning. Delicious breakfasts with a wide variety of options."
Joya Park Hotel
"It's ok, just normal"

Albizia Beach Hotel
"Nice hotel on a charming little beach, mostly frequented by Bulgarians. Large room with sea view. A few beach restaurants nearby, including a very nice one right in front of the hotel (the one with a name written only in Bulgarian and a beautiful terrace). Be careful: the hotel is very far from the center of Varna. 30 minutes easy."
Apart Hotel Golden Line
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The resort is well-maintained, the food is varied and of high quality, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We’d especially like to highlight the young animators – you’re doing an amazing job! Your energy, creativity, and positive attitude made each day special. Whether it was sports, games, or evening shows – there was always something going on, and it was clear that you love what you do. Thank you for the great time – we’d love to come back! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like a more casual or formal version And alex svetlozar gabi and martina"
Golden Beach Park Hotel - All Inclusive
"We spent 10 days in Parkhotel Golden Beach in Golden Sands July 2023. We are family of five. We had very nice rooms with beautiful view. Both rooms were large with nice and clean bathroom. We really enjoyed the food and also pool area. We will definitely come back here next summer. "
Hotel Regina
"Well incredible hotel went with Loveholidays and complained whilst there how dirty the hotel was and the fact they only cleaned the room twice after begging advertised as 4* not even 1* and as Loveholidays are no longer covered by ABTA no point complaining they just ignore you - bar was often closed common areas dirty - all inclusive - no do not eat or drink there"
International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites
"They charge you 5 bgn for printing a few sheets of document, what a joke. You better not speak bulgarian with them, the service will be terrible. Apparently, only foreigners are treated well. In any normal hotel you will not be charged a cent for such a small thing."
Astor Garden Hotel
"Hello Hotel looks super good, rooms super ok but in the relationship with the tourist, at least at the restaurant, it is pathetic they had problems with the dispenser one of the days and I was told to go to the room to get water, English is a problem for 90% of employees At the restaurant, if one kind of food range out, only something else was brought Including the famous Bulgarian pickles, they were no longer brought This is not allowed in a 5-star hotel Too bad for the beautiful building The hotel has 3 beaches, one of which is "hidden" for the hotel's customers, only by chance did we realize that that beach is also for us At all beaches it is allowed to rent sunbeds and umbrellas against money, in the conditions that they do not have enough sunbeds for tourists staying in their hotel I will definitely not return to this hotel PS. Note 10+ for Umit from the lobby bar"
Villa Chinka by Astor Garden Hotel - Adults Only
"Beautiful place with amazing staff and cool chilled atmosphere, the place has the right balance between chic and relaxed, the owners made amazing job by keeping the place familial and at the same time professional, they sent a cake for my partner’s birthday which was a nice and thoughtful, the food in all the restaurants is outstanding and the staff will do anything to make the customer happy, the restaurant next door more is also amazing and is a must try."
The Palace Hotel, Sunny Day
"Unfortunately, the room and services do not match what was shown online. The conditions are not acceptable: [for example, the room is dirty, facilities are missing, and the food quality is very poor]. Outside the hotel is very poor and dirty. No parking paidded or not we didn’t have a place when you can park in safety zone. Very disappointing. Please be careful when you book."
Hotel Perunika
"I don't know how this hotel has three stars. The bathroom was riddled with mold, the shower stall only had one wing, the sink was leaking water, and after the plumbing was repaired, it leaked even more. The food was awful; everything was cold and tasteless. We were in Bulgaria seven years ago at the Atlas Hotel and the vacation was fantastic, but at the Perunika Hotel it was a nightmare. My daughter was counting down the days until we got home. The hotel staff was not friendly; they only replaced garbage bags all week, and when I asked for clean towels, I got them after a lot of fuss."
Azalia Beach Hotel Balneo & Spa
"I chose this hotel to spend 1 May and Easter Holiday for this year. Location: The location of the hotel is good, is not far from the small city center, there is an ATM next to the hotel. Parking: In front of the hotel there is a parking space for maximum 10-15 cars. We paid around 10 leva/day. Is good to park near the hotel, we saw some cameras next by because the parking is not guarded. If you do not find space near the hotel, they will redirect you to another parking with whom the hotel has agreement. Room: We got room 207, on the same floor with the restaurant. First I was upset, thinking that the smell will come into the room but no, it was ok. The room was amazing, front sea view, 2 balconies. It is amazing to sleep in the night and to hear the sound of the waves. The room is big enough, equipped with everything, even bathrobe. Cleaning: On this chapter, the hotel is not so well. I was disappointed about the cleaning, when we entered the room it was not very well cleaned, there were stains on the wall, on the carpet. During our stay we did not let the housekeeping too often to come into our room. Beach: The beach is large, is amazing, clean but with small stones. In some parts of the sea the entrance is deep, in other is ok. The staff should step in when they see the clients bring on the beach portable speaker and put lowed bad quality music! It was disturbing for us and we needed to take our things and move to another part just not to hear that music! The restaurant, bars & food The restaurant in the first days, when the hotel was not crowd the food was at a very high quality. Not so many choices but tasty. After 3-4 May, when the hotel stared to be full, the option for the food became larger but lower quality. The beach bar offers just French fries and some meatballs. The ice cream was very good. The only bar that serves alcoholic drinks is the lobby bar, even if they sell as Ultra All Inclusive, most of the drinks are local ones. Only some gin is international brand, beside this, Bulgarian drinks. The bartender is not making cocktails, he gives you the alcohol in a glass and you need to go and add juice and make yourself a cocktail. This is the first time when I experience this. For the Easter Celebration I expected more, on the Easter night in the reception there were eggs and sweet bread but for the lunch or dinner nothing special. Swimming pool & Spa In the rainy days the indoor pool was so crowded, they said is with mineral water but I doubt that, I smelled a lot of chlorine. We enjoyed the sauna. Overall, I can recommend this hotel because of its position, right on the beach. The view from the room and the balcony was amazing."
Arena Mar Hotel and Spa
"We stayed here at the end of September for 5 nights. The hotel was quiet due to it being the end of their season which meant a lot of the local shops, bars and restaurants has closed (no fault of the hotel, we didn’t do our research and assumed the season would continue into October - something to be mindful of if you’re booking in 2024). The food and spa were the highlights of our holiday. The spa staff were super friendly and helpful and we made sure to make use of the facilities and treatments on offer. Would recommend the Turkish bath, it was incredible! The price of the treatments were so cheap compared to the U.K. you can pay cash or card which is handy too. The food was so flavoursome and we had something different each night. If you’re a fussy eater or expecting 20+ difference choices this isn’t the place for you. There was enough choices but each dish was delicious and the cakes were little mouthfuls of heaven. Overall the hotel was very modern and clean and is in a great location to walk to the beach. Even with it being quiet we felt extremely safe strolling around. Down by the beachfront there are some lovely shops and bars, it’s a lovely easy stroll. We took the 409 bus into Varna (approx 45 mins journey) and hired electric scooters to explore. We’d recommend wandering the garden, it’s beautiful and lots for kids to do. The staff were generally very helpful, a big shout out to Vanka (I hope that’s how you spell it) on reception who was extremely helpful in trying to sort an issue with our transfer back to the airport. Only negative experienced were the cleaners were slightly rude and staff weren’t always at the bar around the pool, we imagine this was down to it being out of season. We would definitely return to the hotel and make the most of the spa and facilities again next year. "
Prestige Hotel and Aquapark - All Inclusive
"Prestige Hotel & Aquapark, Bulgaria – a scam from start to finish. 3 days with the same towel, and if you want to change it, it’s 10 leva. The food? The same every single day, bland and unimaginative. The room smells like garbage because of the dumpsters right outside. They lied about having a beach – there isn’t one! And if you want a sunbed, it’s 12 leva. All-inclusive only in name; in reality, it’s all-exclusive. I wouldn’t recommend it even to my worst enemies."
Hotel Sunrise Golden Sands
"We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Hotel in Golden Sands! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located in a great area close to the beach. The food was delicious with a good variety of dishes, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. A very special thank you goes to the animation team, especially Presi, Eli, and the boys. They brought so much energy, positivity, and fun to every day of our vacation. Their activities, games, and evening entertainment created an amazing atmosphere and made our stay truly memorable. They are talented, professional, and genuinely care about the guests having a great time. Thank you, Sunrise Hotel, for a fantastic holiday. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and would love to come back again!"
Prestige Deluxe Hotel Aquapark Club - All Inclusive
"Came here 22 sept, and are staying until 28, but already considering changing hotel.. In Norway where I am from, I am part of an exclusive group hired by the biggest hotel chain, where our only job is to test hotels covering EVERYTHING.. And after just 3 days here I am disappointed as I feel ripped off due to the hotel’s marketing team has really over sold the quality of this hotel. Even the hotel name “Prestige”, gave me hope of having a week vacation with LUXURY, wellness and most of all relaxation. Maybe I’m just spoiled in my own country where we have better standards, as for what is considered “normal” behaviour among the guests.. Here it’s OVER FILLED with screaming kids (kill me now!), the maids don’t understand English (?!?), the food is tasteless everyday and what is MOST disappointing regarding the food buffet is that the signs saying what this food is, is MOSTLY in only Bulgarian! Does this hotel aim for having mostly Bulgarian OR international customers?? Or the hotel management simply doesn’t care, as long as they get paid.. I would have hoped for a 4 star resort with much better variety and healthier options for the food buffet, and more normal desserts.. Here everything SCREAMS too much added food colouring, and that looks revolting. I witnessed what I hope is illegal in also Bulgaria, where management fix the financial books.. (I got a massage, and when it was time to pay, they pushed HARD for me to pay with cash and not card.. When I said for the 7’ time I only had card, the SPA manager than told the masseuse that I had to pay an EXTRA fee for paying with card (15 LEV extra + the price)! Here the masseuse only gets paid 30% of what they make, and the management keep the remaining 70%…! SHOCKING! Not paid by the hour either! On a 4 star hotel I would hope better financial conditions for the staff! The rooms are amazing, the bed is a little too hard, but overall like a 5 star hotel (just regarding the room!!), sadly I would have hoped and expected a much BIGGER tv for this kind of 4 star hotel, and also they either got a smart tv /streaming adapter (this is 2024, soon 2025 after all!), because the tv channels are mostly dubbed in Bulgarian! Again like I previously said, there is little consideration for having INTERNATIONAL guests.. I did actually prepare for this as I brought my own Apple TV device, but like all negatives that has happened during my stay, I could not use the APPLE TV because the APPLE TV can’t connect to the internet, as you need to validate the internet signal through a pop up system on your phone/pc.. If only they had a normal password or open WiFi without this stupid pop up..! The interior (indoor) swimming pool they claim is heated up to 25 Celsius, but in reality it is ****** COLD!!! Heated pool was one of my 4 reasons why I chose this hotel.. I came to Varna, Bulgaria because of medical tourism (get dental implants at the BIG dentist facility in Varna), and as I am going through a very big surgery fully "
Marina Grand Beach Hotel - All Inclusive Plus
"The Hotel was great. You get exactly what you paid for. The staff were amazing, everyone was polite and helpful. The pool was big enough and had a great atmosphere because of the animation team. They were amazing and full of energy, especially Marti he was a great dancer. Every single day there was a different activity and at night the party’s were great."
