Golden Tulip Varna ★★★★
"The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the hotel provides lots more amenities.. the best part is the proximity to the central tourist locations of Varna… just a walk away are a plethora of restaurants.."
Hotel Palitra ★★★
"The shower was badly damaged, only one of the electrical outlets worked, reception was 1.5 hours late, and the noise level in the evening was unpleasant even with the windows closed. It was okay for the price, but I wouldn't book here again. (Stay 4 days and 3 nights)"
Primorski Hotel ★★★
"I don't understand the hotel's good reviews. The breakfast is a disaster and not sufficient. We've had the same four choices for three days now. The rooms are okay, but our mattress was defective, and I slept on springs. When I reported it, they just smiled. For the price, you can definitely get better deals in the area. The area is a nice walk to the sea, and the passage is also beautifully designed. But unfortunately, this isn't enough—once and never again."
Park Hotel Perla ★★★
"Currently here and it’s one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The food is awful and with 3 children from 14-7 we have eaten out most evenings. Chicken and pork is the constant on the menu, puddings are not even worth a taste. Staff are rude, hotel is dated. Sunbeds are plenty which is about the only plus. Pool bar isn’t included in the all inclusive. I would strongly suggest paying a bit extra and going and staying somewhere you can at least have a decent dining experience!"
Ibis Styles Golden Sands Roomer Hotel ★★★★
"I really want to recommend this hotel to everyone especially adults that search for a relaxing quiet and amazing hotel. The food is amazing starting with the breakfast and closing with the dinner. They have diversified food that are extremely delicious (also for vegans vegetarians and kids), also everything is perfectly clean, the swimming pool area very well maintained they offer you sunbed towels. Extremely beautiful on the terrace . The personal very friendly welcoming and nice. The bathrooms were so futuristic and elegant . We will definitely come back next year again."
Ventura Boutique Hotel ★★★
"I really liked it, the room was clean, cleaned every day, the room is dark, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage, breakfasts are good, you have to order what to take care of and the quantity, but for me it was sufficient, the service was very nice, helpful. The neighborhood is quiet, there are shops and bars, unfortunately in bars you pay in cash. The beach is close, you can get to the center by bus almost from the hotel about 20-30 minutes. To the airport about 50 minutes with 1 change in the center."
International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites ★★★★★
"We arrived at the hotel with an extended family, we took 5 rooms in the hotel on a half board basis. The reception staff provided terrible and unpleasant service. The level of cleanliness in the rooms smells of sewage, we were sitting in the pool when 3 boys came in a bully way and wanted to charge us 100 euros for snacks and drinks that we brought with us,"
Hotel Perunika ★★★
"Ok for 3 stars"
Hotel Amfora ★★★
"I only stayed here for 3 nights last summer but it was a lovely place - very comfortable and friendly in particular the owner George who was very helpful. The pool is gorgeous and the weather was also lovely in the August time that I stayed."

"Super as usual"
Hotel Regina
"I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience we encountered at your hotel, Royal Hotel, on 26th August 2024. Our troubles began as soon as we arrived. We had anticipated that parking would be available as part of our stay at a four-star hotel, but instead, we were surprised to find that we had to pay an additional 20 BGN for parking. Although we were unhappy with this unexpected charge, we eventually paid it and hoped to move on and enjoy our holiday. Unfortunately, the problems only escalated from there. When we arrived at the canteen for our scheduled check-in at 2:00 PM, we were met with a long, chaotic queue. We were forced to wait nearly an hour to check in, which is completely unacceptable. When I questioned the staff about the delay, they cited being short-staffed and claimed this situation was unprecedented, despite knowing the exact number of guests expected that day. Such poor planning and lack of organization are inexcusable for a hotel that advertises itself as four stars. After enduring the frustrating check-in process, we encountered yet another inconvenience: the elevator. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes just to get into an elevator. This delay, coupled with our already frayed patience, made for a terrible start to our stay. Upon finally entering our room, we were horrified to find the beds in a dreadful condition, ripped apart and looking like they had been through a disaster. This level of neglect is shocking and completely unacceptable. We decided to have lunch by the beach, which was decent but unremarkable. However, dinner at your hotel was the worst decision we could have made. Despite paying for an all-inclusive package, the food quality was abysmal. The food was unlabeled, looked unappetizing, and appeared as though it had been carelessly thrown together. To make matters worse, both of us experienced stomach issues after eating, leading us to question the hygiene standards of your kitchen. It is absolutely appalling that a hotel of your supposed standard could provide such poor service and amenities. The state of the food alone is enough to warrant serious concern. It is shocking that this establishment is allowed to operate and even more so that it has been given a four-star rating. I am requesting an immediate investigation into these issues and a full refund for the distress and inconvenience we have endured."
International House of Journalists Resort
"The price-performance ratio is absolutely OK. Although the hotel has come somewhat into the years, the price is fit for it. The dinner was varied, with daily changed main dishes, even though the base remained similar. The breakfast was largely the same, but completely enough and overall good."
Astor Garden Hotel
"Nice hotel and good breakfast, the inly problem is to many insects in the room and also the window door need to be fixed before the guest is coming to the room."
Villa Chinka by Astor Garden Hotel - Adults Only
"Beautiful place with amazing staff and cool chilled atmosphere, the place has the right balance between chic and relaxed, the owners made amazing job by keeping the place familial and at the same time professional, they sent a cake for my partner’s birthday which was a nice and thoughtful, the food in all the restaurants is outstanding and the staff will do anything to make the customer happy, the restaurant next door more is also amazing and is a must try."
The Palace Hotel, Sunny Day
"Spacious room, spectacular view, warm welcome, very nice SPA center and swimming pool with hot mineral water. Conference hall and options for a nice coffee break. You can easily visit the city of Varna during your stay."
Melia Grand Hermitage
"This was a lovely hotel with friendly staff and good food. We have just returned from ten days here. The animation team were good fun and never missed an opportunity for a chat. The room was big and spacious with the best views! We did think that housekeeping of the room was not very good. I think the only thing I actually did in the 10 days we were there was change the towels every day, the beds maybe twice I don’t take the bins. The 2 cups and two glasses were never changed. One day we had to cool down to reception for toilet paper – has now had been left! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we dealt with. The grounds and facilities were very good. The beach facilities were good too. The only downside for us was if you went down to the promenade for a walk after dinner in the evening there was nothing. A few supermarkets overpriced shoe shops and a lot of cheap rubbish gift shops. The locals didn’t seem keen on you being there and could appear stern faced and often rude."
Hotel Lilia
"The staff were horrible, they had a sign in the restaurant saying it closed at 22:00, but one night while we where there, we arrived at the restaurant at 21:45 expecting it to be open but turns out they were packing up all the food, we didn't like the food but only wanted a snack (pancakes and bread). Another restaurant staff was texting his mate and eating all the sausages and eggs, helping himself Infront of customers It's supposed to have free Wi-Fi but there's actually little blind spots around the room, like the toilet, and the living room. The restaurant manager followed me around the restaurant because I had some orange juice in my hand (it was supposed to be 3 lev.) So when I got back to my table my mum gave it back (like she can even pour it back into the machine). Who even pays for juice, that's crazy. The pool next to the hotel was cool I liked it. Do NOT go here. -Olly"
Umani Hotel - Free Beach - Free Parking
"this isn`t just a hotel, it`s an experience, with a design in perfect harmony with the surroundings. choose a room with seaview, it`s well worth the little difference. large and well equipped rooms, excellent breakfast, and the two meals we had at the restaurant were chef prime. I can`t wait to come and visit again. by the way the Danton fish restaurants, a two minutes walk, is excellent. and when driving do not write Umani Hotel on your Waze or GPS but write Riviera beach, the road is much better, and when arriving at the bus station take right."
BSA Holiday Park Hotel - All Inclusive
"We stayed here for 1 week in September 2025 and overall the experience was good. Facilities: Excellent. The rooms have a/c at no extra cost and rooms are large with the usual TV that we never turned on. There are hair dryers in the bathrooms and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily. There's also a small fridge in the rooms. There are 2 bars; one by the pool and another in the lobby, both serving good quality local drinks as well as premium brands. The prices for premium drinks are significantly lower than the strip. The pool area is an absolute sun trap. Even when windy there's barely a breeze and most of the many sunbeds are in the sun all day. There's also a shaded seating area. Food and drink: Good I can't fault the all inclusive drinks selection. Cocktails, beer and spirits are better than many places we've stayed and spirits are served in generous measures. What let's the hotel down slightly is the food. It's not that there's a lack of choice or that it's local cuisine, the issue is that the hot food simply isn't hot. However, this seems to be a cultural thing. Most of the guests were Bulgarian and Romanian and whilst we made use of the microwave to get our food piping hot, we didn't see a single other guest do the same. Overall: Good The hotel is very clean and most of the staff seem happy enough, especially the guy behind the pool bar. Overall a good holiday and excellent value for money."
Apart Hotel Golden Line
"Lovely Stay at Golden Line Hotel – Will Return! We had a great holiday at the Golden Line Hotel in Bulgaria. The hotel was very clean and well looked after. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a beautiful sea view, which was a real treat. The apartment was cleaned daily (if you wanted), with fresh towels provided, and bedding changed every three days – very convenient and appreciated. The location is great – not far from the beach. However, it's a shame there are no dedicated sunbeds for the hotel. If you want to use a sunbed on the beach, you’ll have to pay 12 Lev per bed. The pool was heated, which was a bonus since we visited in May – it's heated until the 31st. The food was good overall. There wasn’t a huge variety, but I found something tasty to eat every day. Drinks were not the best – a bit watered down – though the wine was fine. We often bought a bottle or two to enjoy on our balcony, which made for lovely, relaxing evenings. We’re already planning to return to the same hotel next year – a very enjoyable and comfortable stay! "
Marina Grand Beach Hotel - All Inclusive Plus
"I do not recommend for the very bad menu, a kind of cafeteria. Very dirty restaurant and terraces. Only the cleaning lady on the 7th floor who was kind and the cleanliness in the room can get 4 stars. I've had diarrhea since one in the afternoon."
Prestige Deluxe Hotel Aquapark Club - All Inclusive
"We booked this hotel because it was one of the top-rated in Golden Sands, and we read that the food here was supposed to be really good. We just arrived 60 minutes ago, or rather, we were allowed to check in and use the facilities an hour ago. We arrived at 12:00, with five excited children. One of them was a bit sick. We expected that we could simply store our luggage and use the facilities (pool, snack bar, etc.). That was absolutely not an option. We had to wait in the lobby, and if we were hungry or thirsty, we could buy lunch in the restaurant or drinks at the bar… We were NOT allowed to go down to the pool and wait for our room to be ready. In general, the tone is quite unpleasant and inhospitable. No service. No smiles. Just a feeling of being a burden. Too bad—especially for our kids who could hardly wait to swim. We took a walk around the area and got something to eat. When we returned, our child's condition had worsened, and we were seriously considering seeking medical attention—but fortunately, he got better. Even then, it was not possible to get our room or something to drink for him. We finally got to our rooms, which are very nice. No complaints there. But the overall impression of the hotel is VERY worn and very old. At most, 2 stars. We went to get pool towels, only to find out that they were closed and wouldn’t open for another 45 minutes. So we went to the snack bar. The pizzas were fine, but the fries tasted like they were from the day before. There was a small room with cakes, which I do not recommend entering. The cakes were INEDIBLE and extremely salty. When we went to order drinks, perhaps the biggest “game changer” of all came. It is NOT possible to order light/diet drinks with our All-Inclusive package. We were told we could pay for them at the main bar… We did NOT see that coming. We have traveled A LOT and stayed at many All-Inclusive hotels in many countries—this we have never experienced. Are we not in 2024? And what about people with diabetes? We got some water and a drink. The drink was undrinkable, and the water tasted like chlorine and salt… When we finally got to the pool, the kids were happy. However, the lifeguard was sitting quite unmotivated, blowing his whistle, and looking at his phone… All in all, a very disappointing start. We have never complained before or written a bad review, even when we have been dissatisfied. But unfortunately, this just surpasses everything we have experienced—and all in just a few hours… What a disappointment!"
Arena Mar Hotel and Spa
"This hotel is overcrowded, which in itself isn't a problem, but as a result, the service is inadequate. The cleanliness of the rooms and especially the bedding is downright substandard. We had sheets with stains. The breakfast was very basic, and the coffee was undrinkable. Fortunately, there was an option for us to spend the time elsewhere."
