Hotel Palitra
"I liked it, everything was good overall. The location is excellent, the attitude of the staff is also good, the room was cleaned well. A small cozy room."
Golden Tulip Varna
"Varna was having an unusually warm weekend on Oct 1-2. When we got into our room (Room 601), it was an oven. Although the fan was on and set to maximum (minimal draft and no cold air), the full blast of the afternoon sun heated up the two large windows that face the main road. We asked reception if the cold air could be turned on, and were told that the hotel policy was to cut off all airconditioning by Oct 1. While we understand that management policy is policy, we felt that the hotel staff should have been empowered to accommodate guest comfort given the vagaries of climate change. Having said that, the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a decent size, and soap, shampoo and shower gel were provided. The hotel staff were helpful when our friends misplaced their hotel key. The breakfast spread was decent."
Hotel Color
"Thanks very much"
Ventura Boutique Hotel
"I really liked it, the room was clean, cleaned every day, the room is dark, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage, breakfasts are good, you have to order what to take care of and the quantity, but for me it was sufficient, the service was very nice, helpful. The neighborhood is quiet, there are shops and bars, unfortunately in bars you pay in cash. The beach is close, you can get to the center by bus almost from the hotel about 20-30 minutes. To the airport about 50 minutes with 1 change in the center."
Albizia Beach Hotel
"Nice hotel on a charming little beach, mostly frequented by Bulgarians. Large room with sea view. A few beach restaurants nearby, including a very nice one right in front of the hotel (the one with a name written only in Bulgarian and a beautiful terrace). Be careful: the hotel is very far from the center of Varna. 30 minutes easy."
Ensana Aquahouse
"Nice Hotel !!"
Marina Grand Beach Hotel - All Inclusive Plus
"Where to start with this hotel…. One of the worst places we have ever stayed. Upon arrival the hotel looked absolutely gorgeous. Clean lobby, modern feel to it. When we got to the desk to check in, the lady wanted our “voucher”. We said we don’t have a voucher but we have our confirmation email. Which she asked to be emailed to her. So we did and her response was “if it doesn’t work I will need you to return to reception tomorrow to speak with the manager”. We couldn’t understand why they didn’t have our booking details… After this, we walked up to our room. Upon entering we were met with a very worn out old carpet. Two single beds, even though we booked a double room. Wet hairs stuck to the bathroom tiles. Honestly it was a grim room to have to walk into. We had paid extra for a room upgrade and this certainly didn’t feel like an upgrade. We went back to reception to ask if we could have the beds put together or be changed to a different room. The lady said it wasn’t possible as there was no one to put the beds together and she could do a room change when the manager was back the next day. We got fed up and said to forget it as we wanted to unpack and get settled. The next day we got up and went for breakfast. What a joke, food was inedible, dry and so so soooo salty. Every single meal was like this. I don’t know if the food is tasted before it goes out to the guests but my guess is, it isn’t. We couldn’t eat a full meal at all at the hotel because it was so disgusting. After paying for all inclusive, you would expect to be given edible food. Not salty mush. The only nice part about the food was the salad and desserts, which I guess are bought in. Onto the staff. All rude. No hello as you order a drink, no thank you, no asking how you are. Just eye rolling and dirty looks. The guy at the pool seemed as if he wanted to be anywhere else but at this job. We went for a couples massage. Both me and my partner had the same massage except he didn’t seem to have gotten touched up his bottom and under his shorts. The guy who did my massage seemed to focus a lot of my bum, kept putting his hand on it and shaking me side to side. If this is a “massage” why did the other guy massaging my parter not do it to him?? WiFi terrible. Cuts out every 2/3 mins. Leak coming from the bath everytime we showers which went into the bedroom and caused a soggy carpet. Absolutely avoid this hotel at all costs. One plus to this hotel is the view from the balcony. Sleeping with the door open was lush as you could hear the waves."
International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites
"Scam hotel dedicated to israelian gambling *******. The staff doesnt have any willigness to do anything, which is understandable by the lack of management and the drunk people surrounding them. This is probsbly the worst hotel ive been, it should be renamed as israelian laundry"
Park Hotel Perla
"What can I say, the hotel is pretty basic but it's always clean the ladies who clean the rooms change the sheets daily or at least every couple of days, the food for something that's all inclusive isnt great especially if you have picky kids which I do but mostly manageable, there is no real all inclusive where you can pick up snacks if your hungry the food times are set and that's what you get, the pool was great the rooms are big it's a ten minute walk away from the beach which is good because it's quiet at night and there's a 24 hour shop five minutes away. Most of the staff could do with cheering up a bit but maybe that's just eastern Europe and their culture ( I found most shops to be the same) the guy at the cocktail bar at the pool is a good guy but the cocktails are extra, not on the all inclusive you have one bar in the restaurant you get your drinks from, about 6 Lev a drink which is about 3 quid so it's still pretty cheap, all in all it is what it is it's a 3 star and there's plenty worse than this place, and golden sands could do with Street cleaners the place has beer bottles and plastic pretty much everywhere you go"

Hotel Regina
"I liked my stay in the hotel very much. The rooms and the food were okay but what made my holiday was the animators Reni and Melek, who were very nice and played very cool music by the pool. And honourable mention for the best beach they have here in Bulgaria, I really enjoyed my time there."
Umani Hotel - Free Beach - Free Parking
"We had our international wedding organised in a hotel close by but all our guests stayed in Umani. We also organised our Welcome dinner at Umani. I couldn't praise the manager Rositsa more- from start to finish, she made our whole experience easy. The dinner that the staff at Umani organised for our guests was exactly what we wanted- Authentic bulgarian dishes, that even our bulgarian guests said it felt like home. The staff made sure all our guests had pleasant experience and they were very well attended to. What sets Umani apart from other hotels is their staff and how they treat the guests. Even our housekeeper was the loveliest lady, who would tidy up our toddler's toys every day! 10/10 and would strongly recommend staying at Umani if you are looking for outstanding and personable service."
Atlas Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive
"The hotel is spacious and clean. Big thanks to lovely reception team. They are all fantastic. Housekeeping team also does great job. Most bar staff were lovely as well. There is one woman who is absolutely shocking. Looks like one of the supervisors who had to cover bar and her behaviour is vile. Snappy , aggressive and clearly not enjoyong it. Disgraceful behaviour towards paying customers. Have to admit never seen anything like it in any hotels we have been to. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable with WiFi, fridge and air con. There is hair dryer in the bathroom and air dryer for clothes. Big closet ,tv and in general very comfortable conditions for your stay. There are signs to not take food our of dining room ,however you see tons of people doing it and not one staff reacting. Same with filling drinks bottles. Plenty coffee machines and drink dispensers, but running out quick and staff are not to keen to replace it straight away. Wanted to say Big thanks to Ivo (bartender ). He definitely made our stay enjoyable and one of the kindest staff in Atlas. I think management has some improvements to make and definitely need to provide customer service training to some staff. They need to learn to respect people who spend their hard earned money for them to have a job."
Melia Grand Hermitage
"In September I had 10 days at The Melia Grande Hermitage and the staff are what made it a great holiday. Yes, the rooms are spotless and the food is great, but that is what you would expect from a Melia, but the quality of places always comes down to people. So after several reviews here diminishing the staff, I wanted to share my experience. I found the staff to be not just warm and friendly but one of the managers, Nina Neshkova, could not have been more kind and she made me feel cared for, truly impressive for a hotel of this size. While it is exceptional to find one person as good as Nina, I found two. The manager of the Spa, Maia Ivanova, also deserves special mention. She was warm, welcoming, incredibly helpful and extremely efficient and she guided me to the right members of her team to get the sessions I needed and loved. I heard hardly any English voices in the hotel, or in Varna generally. So perhaps people have been too quick to take staff not being fluent English speakers for rudeness, and have forgotten to consider they may just need a moment to get their heads around what you’re saying. I found even those with no English very happy to help. This is a great hotel with a great team."
Astor Garden Hotel
"Hello Hotel looks super good, rooms super ok but in the relationship with the tourist, at least at the restaurant, it is pathetic they had problems with the dispenser one of the days and I was told to go to the room to get water, English is a problem for 90% of employees At the restaurant, if one kind of food range out, only something else was brought Including the famous Bulgarian pickles, they were no longer brought This is not allowed in a 5-star hotel Too bad for the beautiful building The hotel has 3 beaches, one of which is "hidden" for the hotel's customers, only by chance did we realize that that beach is also for us At all beaches it is allowed to rent sunbeds and umbrellas against money, in the conditions that they do not have enough sunbeds for tourists staying in their hotel I will definitely not return to this hotel PS. Note 10+ for Umit from the lobby bar"
The Palace Hotel, Sunny Day
"On the plus side: • Very nice beach. • The food at the buffet-style meals was plentiful and varied. • Nice rooms with beautiful views. • Good water pressure in the showers. On the minus side: • On arrival , we were greeted by a cockroach in the bathroom. • With some exceptions, the staff was unfriendly and rude. • Very poor internet service. • In most hotels the hot water comes right away. Here, we had to wait five minutes for the water to get hot, and it wasn’t very hot even then. • Except for specified mealtimes, there is no food in the hotel. • There were buckets on the floor in the main lobby, catching water dripping from the ceiling. • The food at the buffet-style meals was mediocre. • Paint is peeling from the ceiling of the dining room. The vibe is a hotel that was once grand but has been neglected. Maybe the owners are trying to squeeze as much cash as possible from the property for the time being, planning a major renovation in the future. We wouldn’t stay here again."
Hotel Perunika
"Reading the reviews, I get the impression you live in palaces, and the staff is at least royal. There's really nothing to complain about. The food was delicious and very varied. The cakes were baked on site. The alcohol was NOT WATER-DILUTED! One drink could kill you 😂 The beer was weaker (only 3%). We stayed in a renovated room, so I don't know about the rest of the hotel. The cleaning ladies were there every day. They also left toilet paper every day. We arrived at the hotel at 7:30 AM. We got our room at 10:00 AM, and our first meal (lunch) was at 12:00 PM. While waiting for our room key, the receptionist treated us to breakfast pancakes. The only downside, in my opinion, was the shaded pool. We spent a lot of time in the sea, where the water was super warm. Everything was very close. We took drinks from the hotel with us on our way to the beach, and we had to literally walk a few hundred meters to get more. We were very pleased and think the hotel should be at least 4 stars. We've stayed in several hotels in Bulgaria, and this one is truly excellent. We highly recommend it to everyone. We took table tennis balls and paddles with us. We'll definitely be back."
Hotel Lilia
"A hotel of 50/50 opinion. But i wont choose it again. The reception staff is kind. No objection. No free parking at the hotel and even so it is small and we had to search to park in other place. Every parking lot is of 20leva/day. If you park somewhere outside a parking lot, wont pass several minutes and your car will be evacuated, 50eu and you can have your car back)) so dont risk. The pool, didnt like it. The water is clean but the rest is dirty and old. The hotel is really old fashioned, good rooms are those that look at the beach and pool. Be sure when you make reservation so the room is with balcony. The restaurant: it is mentioned that is 3 star (even the hotel is 4star) but i could give only 2 stars here. I am not a picky person but i never saw such a dirty restaurant. Always food on the floor and nobody cleans it, the tables dirty and sticky. The plates are dirty, the food is not tasty at all, i could eat only that dish that cant be messed up))) eggs, spagetti)) in the morning is totally everything the same, only the sweets are changing sometimes. From fruits in the morning: oranges and grapefruits. Evening: plums, peach, once grapes. From meat i could eat only chicken. So the restaurant per general is awful. Sorry but thats true. The room was ok. Nothing special. The only good thing of this hotel is the location, first line, not in the center where is very noisy but in 5min you can walk to the center."
Royal Beach
Joya Park Hotel
"I liked the accommodation, food, and attitude. The sea was clean and warm, about 10-15 minutes walk. The location is away from the noisy embankment restaurants. Suitable for a quiet holiday. I had paid for breakfast and dinner. The food is quite varied, the coffee from the coffee machine is quite tasty. The hotel is cozy, the territory is well-kept."
Grifid Encanto Beach Hotel - Medispa, Ultra All Inclusive & Private Beach
"The call center girl Gerjana was very helpful and told us all the advantages of booking this exact hotel! All the information was told in advance and was true. We don't regret at all! Everything is true! We totally recommend! Exceptional service and excellent kitchen"
Prestige Deluxe Hotel Aquapark Club - All Inclusive
"I called last evening maintenance at the reception to tell them in the bedroom air is unbreatheble and to fix the AC either to open window(which that one aswell its blocked) nothing been fixed , workman said "tomorrow" never came back. The ceiling bit which is covering the AC from bedroom has been left open, unsafe for a child to step in the bedroom."
