"We stayed at the Hotel Le Roi for 1 night while on vacation in Italy (from Canada) and overall had a wonderful and comfortable experience. Facilities and rooms were both clean and very comfortable, lovely relaxing balcony too. Staff was very pleasant and helpful (despite us not speaking Italian). Ample parking space for the car we had brought. Exceptional dining experience at family run on location restaurant. 5min walk and 3 min drive to beach. "

"Two years ago, I stayed at the Hotel Miranda for one night on a drive from Italy to France. At that time, I wrote a TripAdvisor review. I had such a pleasant memory of my brief experience that I decided to return. I have just spent a week at the hotel, with full pension. I love this place. Though traveling alone, I reserved a larger room designed for two persons, with a sea view. Again: the charming neighborhood and the perfect parking. Plus the personnel. It's a family-owned and -operated establishment, and it shows. They know the area, and they know about hospitality. Comfortable bed, very quiet. Perfect bathroom. In my earlier review I stated that I strongly suspect that sound could be something of an issue in high season, one would have neighbors, both outside and next door, as well as on the neighboring balconies. Despite the presence of at least two dozen young children, I never heard anything. Meals were good, and there was sufficient variety. The dining room is painted in a warm yellow. One is given the menu each evening, whereupon one makes ones dining selections for the following day in advance, and so when one arrives in the dining room, the staff brings the various dishes "automatically", as it were. It's a great system. Food is decent Italian and Ligurian home-cooking, not super-gourmet, but good, just what I wanted. Service is very fast, perhaps slightly too fast, but fine, a lot better than too slow. I can't speak highly enough of both my experiences at Hotel Miranda. I would stay here again in a second."

"We stayed two days in low season. They assigned us a room that should have been deluxe, very small, the cleanliness of the bedside tables, desk and green velvet chairs left much to be desired and there was no support for luggage. We cleaned chairs and surfaces with a towel that in the end was very dirty. The mattress was comfortable and we slept well. The staff we saw is very Tunisian, unpleasant and unprofessional the Tunisian gentleman who served at the table who put the fork on the table holding it by the prongs. There are no tablecloths on the tables even though the prices are not very low, the food was still pleasant and even the breakfast is plentiful. Desserts are not recommended, the profiteroles are disgusting. At the reception, however, they were always kind."

"I booked an apartment with all the hotel services (I still have to understand what they were): -paid for the breakfast service separately: average buffet, but with packaged products and the worst was finding myself with a herbal junk in the buffet for the whole day entire week of my stay, and hard-boiled eggs that were green inside. - it is not possible to have lunch and dinner in the structure. -Very hard and uncomfortable mattresses, I asked for a topper even while paying and they didn't have one. -paid parking: 100m from the hotel and very limited for those with a large car. -I had a dog and a small daughter, the hotel exit is unfortunately located in a curve in the road and therefore dangerous: once I didn't have time to cross before the dog peed, not in the hotel, but in the road in front of it and the lifeguard even scolded us that it would attract other dogs, we apologized and was insistent, I wonder what the point of paying a surcharge for a dog is if this is not taken into account. - one afternoon the hot water didn't work and we gave the little girl a shower by heating the water on the fire, when we called the reception the lady replied that she was alone and couldn't help us - the swimming pool is only open 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon (absurd in a seaside area) I paid for the entire stay at check in, even if I could have done it later, I expressed my disappointment several times even at check out and the answer was: she's a white fly! Well, ma'am, a white fly that will never land on this **** again! I'm sorry that this is the welcome in Varazze. Exaggerated price: to be clear, I paid the same price in a suite in a 5-star hotel in Rimini. The rest of the staff, especially the receptionist Giulio and the breakfast women, have always been very kind."
