Too old. Although they have tried their best to maintain it, it is really unacceptable. The faucet is almost falling apart but they haven't changed it. The air conditioner is too noisy. The buffet is too simple and the fish is not fresh. The front desk service is too bad. They said that the card for changing beach towels should be returned. Shouldn't you leave the card at the service desk to change towels? Deduct 4 US dollars! Use the safe in the room for 2 US dollars a day, which sounds fresh! VISA cards are sanctioned and cannot be swiped, and they don't accept cash! Too stubborn, left a few US dollars and turned around and left, I won't come again

In the environment where the facilities in Cuba are particularly old, I feel that the hotel has done its best! However, it is not recommended for people with high hygiene requirements to visit Cuba.

A good, solid chain hotel, with good food and an excellent beach. I booked and received a bungalow - spacious and cozy, with a terrace and in a picturesque corner of the hotel complex. I don’t give the highest ratings due to the fact that everything is a little worn out, and there are problems with the operation of the equipment in the room; not everything worked perfectly and correctly (hair dryer, air conditioning control panel and a couple of light bulbs were not on). But overall, a very solid four!

Old facilities, beautiful beach

This was my first time to Tainos and I can't wait to return. What sn amazing week. The food, the service and the ambience were all excellent. Our poolside bungalow was worth the extra money. The lobby bar and the pool bar staff prepared the best drinks. A big special thank you to Yariana, Maday, Yahma, Dubiel, Fiallo, Roberto, Pedro, Kenia, Amanda, Elvis, Pedro y Julio.

We visited this resort for the 11 th time this year. We had no complaints whatsoever. At this time our Cuban friends are facing many difficulties with power outages and shortages. At the hotel the shortages were minor. They are doing the best they can with what they have . Every meal we all said, well we have been well fed once again. We had beef, pork, chicken, vegetables, rice, pasta, bread, cold cuts, desserts, ice cream , salad . No other place will you feel as safe and welcome as Tainos, you will leave there feeling like family. The beach is so perfect at this spot, no rocks, no shells , just beautiful turquoise ocean and white sand . The evening shows were spectacular to watch every day. Service at the bar was super, Tks to yadaisy, Yanet, yudel, reisel, Alberto Beatriz, Juan, rayda, melang at the buffet . George, julio and mayelin at the Pool and beach bar Jania at guest services will help you with anything you need as well as all the staff at reception. We Cannot wait to visit for our 12th time

Another amazing week spent at Iberostar Origin Tainos in Varadero, Cuba. The amazing staff at this resort is second to none! It honestly felt like we never left. They have become great friends and truly make it feel like we’re all family! Huge shoutouts to Alberto, Yudel and Claudia, Reisel, Daisy, Brayan, Yanet, Beatrice, George, Rodolfo, Eduardo, Daylin, Yaremys, Leo and Jania! The main lobby was our go to for our morning and evening drinks, all our servers are very good and always willing to please. The bar staff were fun, very social, genuine and so incredibly kind! The cooks and staff in buffet area were great, with friendly warm welcomes to delicious cooked food and quick service. The cleaning staff do a great job at keeping the rooms looking nice. The grounds are beautifully kept and the gardeners work so hard to keep everything looking fabulous. The food here was delicious! There were plenty of choices for every meal . Breakfast buffet has eggs, pancakes, French toast, yogurt, fresh fruit and lots of bread a great cheese selections and much more. Lunch buffet was delicious my absolute favourite was the pork leg that was slow cooked and then sliced and finished on the grill in front you . The pool snack area was great for lunches or those late night snacks when one or 2 extra drinks were consumed lol, and it offered burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, pasta. Supper buffet was excellent. Lots of selection from beef, pork, chicken, fish, all kinds sides and some of the best ice cream I’ve had! We stayed in the bungalows again and highly recommend them. They have a walk in shower, large balcony with two chairs and a small table great for those morning coffees or late night drinks. Rooms were nice, clean, amazing A/C and nice hot water, everything you need. The beach is spectacular! The water is the most beautiful turquoise blue and you have the most amazing white fine sand for miles. It’s no wonder that these are considered some of the best beaches in the world. And we got to see some of the most gorgeous sunsets with some wicked colourful skies! The pool area is fun and lots of activities and entertainment happening throughout the day with music music and dancing. The evening entertainment is so good, from the live music to the full shows that are put on. All are very talented! The bars were great. Lots of options and great service. They have the main lobby bar, beach bar, pool bar and the Rancho bar. We never waited very long for anything at the resort. If you’re looking for the late nights, you’re able party until 5am and bars start back up at 7am lol the bar staff are amazing! I cannot tell you enough how great these wonderful people were. I know I started by saying how the staff stood out and I will finish with the same. This resort was great, but the friendly staff that goes above and beyond is truly what will keep bringing us back!

First Time in the Veradero Peninsula, It was my first time in Varadero and I always thought that it was a small little town with a beautiful beach. This hotel was able to bring the expectations of Varadero to a higher level. The Hotel had one the best beach because it’s in the middle of the peninsula and you’re able to walk for miles to the north and miles to the south. The hotel was nice and clean, the staff were very friendly. The customer care representative Jania was awesome. They made our stay one of best stays in this beautiful country. The entertainment was always on, at the pool and at the beach . The night shows were supreme. I am looking forward to my next possible time to make it to this hotel.

This resort was brutal I posted on the website I was a member in they kicked me out for my post.the air conditioning didn't work. Cockroachs all over the buffet same food served all 7 days. No pop available and no variation of drinks. Pool tiles broken they will cut your feet. Only nice thing about this place is the ocean 1 star I give that's it..I been to cuba many times 1st and last time at this one soooooo gross and all the activities on website nothing available your lucky if you find a ball with air in it

5/5 . I loved eveything about the place. Everyone should come here The beach was so nice. Julio, Daylin, Wendy, kenia, mayelin were amazing. The prices are good and I encourage everyone to come. Food is too much and we happily got fat eating all the delicious food

I have been going to cuba for the past 25 years I know what all the resorts are like. But this specific hotel used to be my favorite. 10 years to be exact. The only reason I ever return is because of the staff. They are my family as I am there's now. But this most recent trip in May 2025 will be my last. They have fired about 80% of the original staff. Don't get me wrong, the new staff are amazing. The only reason I return is to see my best friends there! Management does not care for them at all. A/c breaks all the time. Room keys have to changed every 2 days. Don't even bother getting a safe that never works. It's a shame it went downhill so fast. But the last 10 years has been a dream. Off to find another resort to make more memories and best friends!

Very nice stay also thanks to Vladimir super trainer and all the staff Buildings pretty ok, beach structures amazing cubanians people are friendly and always smiling, it makes you feel much better spending time with them We will be back soon!!!

This was our fifth time to Cuba and third time to Iberostar Origin Tainos. It is a gem of a resort. Small in size but big in hospitality and friendliness. It has one of the nicest beaches in Varadero. The grounds are clean and well kept. The rooms (bungalows) have ample living area and closet space…A/C, fridge, hair dryer, iron, shower (plenty hot water) and bidet. (Plenty hot water) And the TV has good reception and approx 35 channels (some english). The food was diverse and abundant. Pork chicken and fish cooked to perfection. Cheese and vegetables galore. Plenty of pastas and delicious fresh bread and desserts. The hotel’s rating on Tripadvisor is 100% accurate. In all fairness, if you see negative reviews, keep in mind ‘It’s Cuba’. This hotel does the BEST with the resources it has. For me, Tainos will give you the most value for everything you get. I would recommend!

Love the Resort food was good rooms bungalow needs TLC but OK the only thing that was really upsetting was the store on the resort won't accept Canadian dollars only American dollars or Credit card come on ....why is that no Americans there, we wanted to buy a bottle of water no can do with Canadian dollars that really pissed us off. Staff was super love all of them.
