Stayed at Scandic Helsinki Aviapolis, a convenient airport hotel near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Overall, it was a good stay, ideal for transit travelers and short visits.
The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, with a free shuttle service running every 20–30 minutes. It is also within walking distance of Aviapolis train station (about 15 minutes), making it easy to reach Helsinki city center. A major plus is the Jumbo Shopping Mall nearby, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store—perfect for those needing last-minute essentials or an alternative dining option.
The room was clean, modern, and functional, featuring comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a well-maintained bathroom with a walk-in shower and essential toiletries.
The breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM, offering a great selection of fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, and Finnish specialties. For those with super early flights, a light breakfast is available from 4 AM.
Due to time constraints - I briefly checked out the gym and sauna in the basement which appeared well-maintained.
The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The overall atmosphere is modern and practical, making it a great choice for travelers catching an early flight or needing a short, comfortable stay near the airport.

I booked Holiday Inn when I went to Helsinki before, but I booked Scandic this time. After staying there, I decided not to stay there again.
1. The mall next to here is far away, so I can only take a taxi. Holiday Inn is closer to the mall and you can walk directly to it.
2. The room is big, but there is no kettle... I am a little disappointed with the hot water. But the room at Scandic is really much bigger!
3. The breakfast is not very delicious. They said that you need to make an appointment, but I feel that there is no difference between making an appointment and not making an appointment.
4. You have to pay for early check-in. Generally, Holiday Inn can check in at 12 o'clock. If you check in earlier, they will check if there are rooms for free. If there are no rooms, you can pay and they will arrange cleaning immediately. But I arrived at Scandic around 11:30, and there was only the option of paying. The free check-in time was not 12 o'clock, but 4 o'clock, which is too outrageous...
In summary, if the price is not cheap, I don't recommend staying here.

Pretty decent hotel, comfortable bed and clean room! Breakfast spread was good! Very near the airport and offers free shuttle! Gym was excellent! About 30-45mins commute to the city for sightseeing but u can take the shuttle to the airport and then train to the city!

I liked everything! Fast check-in, despite the late hour. The room is perfectly quiet, very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast with a great choice.
The shuttle service from/to the airport is very accurate and convenient.
