Wij hadden verwacht dat er walvishaaien zouden zijn. Die blijken er niet meer te zijn. Al heel lang niet meer. De duikschool hebben wij niet benut,lijkt meer voor beginnende duikers gelet op de duikplekken waar ze heen gaan. Het is een prachtig eiland en laat je niet afschrikken door de haven waarvandaan je vertrekt… maar op het eiland heb je je eigen wereld… almost fantasy island! het eten is fantastisch … echt heerlijk!

WHALE ISLAND resort was organized in 1997 and after almost 30 years the vegetation has became abundance, well kept, branches properly trimmed so that you have imagination of staying in perfect garden. The bungalows were nice bamboo hats, facilities were clean, in very good condition. Fans in bungalows, beds covered with muslin against mosquitos, warm water, complimentary drinking water. Staff was extremely friendly and responded positively to all our requests. Food in the restaurant (no other option of catering as there is no other restaurant or grocery shop nearby) was very tasty, bar had good selection of world alcohols. Beach is a shell-type beach which makes bare fool walking a bit painful. Water in the sea is crystal clear. You must however be careful while swimming as some big rocks are withing the swimming area and in some areas sea urchins can be easily spotted. Sport centre with mask/tubes, kayaks. Massage services at quite reasonable services. 30 min walking trail to the summit gives nice panoramic view of the area specially at sunset time. In generally – good place for total relaxation.

We stayed a couple of days at Whale Island Resort. The food and cocktails were remarkable and because the island is not accessible by car, it was really quiet on the beach as on the sea. There are some nice hiking options and for snorkling as well.

L’endroit est vraiment paradisiaque .tout d’abord l’accès depuis Nha Trang est super bien organisé , ils ont une navette qui vient vous chercher en centre ville 17€ , ( 1h30 ) puis bateau 10mn . Les bungalows vue mer sont carrément sur la plage . La structure est de taille réduite donc très calme . Possibilité de faire une randonnée d’1h30 par un chemin très bien balisé et Kayak autour de l’île 1h , pour admirer les pêcheurs . Matériel de snorkling à dispo , massage super la baie dans lequel se pose cet hôtel est superbe . Alors oui c’est vrai le repas du soir n’est pas extraordinaire , oui c’est un peu sale au nord de l’île mais l’endroit est TOP et le personnel extra

We had great time here. This place is unreal. Don't come here if you expect A/C or WIFI in the room. They don't have those. But they have the beach, sun and sand and the privacy which is worth the money you spend. Stay here at least 2 nights or more to enjoy the moment !

My friend and I booked this resort for a one-night stay on March 3, planning for a short but memorable getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed — the resort is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and informative about all the activities available. The private transport service we booked made getting from Nha Trang to the resort easy and comfortable. We had an amazing time swimming in crystal-clear waters, soaking in the breathtaking views, enjoying delicious food, trekking on the island, and kayaking. However, the main reason I'm writing this review is to share how incredibly supportive the resort team was during a critical and vulnerable moment. In the evening, I accidentally stepped on a sea urchin, and since this had never happened to me before, the pain was intense, and I was in complete shock — I needed to get to a hospital as soon as possible. Amidst all the chaos, the resort manager quickly stepped in, arranged a boat and a private car to the nearest hospital, and personally accompanied us at night, helping with the Vietnamese language. He stayed with us until I calmed down and the doctors took care of everything. In an incredibly kind gesture, he also covered the first-aid care expenses while we were still processing what had happened. In such a stressful situation, his support, presence, and understanding meant the world to me, and I’ll always be grateful for his kindness. So, if you’re considering this resort — go for it! It’s a stunning place, and the level of care and hospitality is exceptional. I just wish I hadn’t gotten injured, but even that experience showed me how wonderful the team is. 10/10, absolutely recommend. Writing this review is my small way of saying thank you!

Un très joli lieu, loin du tumulte des grandes villes, avec des bungalows très sympas. Bonne literie, salle de bain très bien. Pour la partie restauration, c'était assez copieux, et permet de découvrir une bonne variété de la cuisine vietnamienne. Côté bar rien à dire non plus, une équipe bien rôdée. Pour la plongée, au top, à l'heure, matos très correct et l'instructeur a pris son temps avec les débutants. Nickel. Voila, donc un bilan bien positif. :)
