Art Hotel Grivola ★★★★

📍 Via Jean Antoine Carrel, Breuil-Cervinia

"We have just returned from spending 10 disappointing nights in this hotel. As we have been on extended travels over the winter, I needed to find somewhere in Cervinia that didn't blow the budget, to enable us to still go skiing at end of season. We were offered a choice of three hotels by our travel agent (one of which was the Sertorelli, can't remember the other) and I chose Grivola on the basis it was near to the Cretaz lift. I had read all the reviews and was aware that whilst it may claim to be a 4-star (adhering to all Italian standards yes, but it's not to the standard of an international 4-star) it doesn't have great reviews. I wish I had paid more heed to the reviews and booked the Sertorelli instead - caveat emptor for me. We were placed in room 101 which is one of only two rooms on the first floor of the hotel (the rest is reception, lounge area (barely used) and the manager's office. Adjacent to us (and probably interconnecting) was room 102, which seemed to have a revolving door of people staying in it one or two nights, for the first 5 days of our trip (after that a nice America family arrived and things improved). The main issue with room 101 is that it has no sound proofing and the walls, ceiling and floor are all wooden. There was incessant noise from the restaurant below, people above (some of whom sounded like they were pounding the floor in their ski boots at all times of night and day), people shouting in the street at kicking out time, and noise from room 102. The bathroom of 102 is next to the bed of room 101 - you can literally hear everything. Three times in the first five days we were woken in the night by noise from next door, and I had to go and speak to the people to ask them to be quiet (not because they were partying, but just because every sound was carrying). Overall I think we had disturbed sleep on 9 out of the 10 nights we were there. I could have said something to management but as there was no hope of fixing the soundproofing in the room, it didn't seem worth it. I also am not certain that this was the room we actually paid for (standard versus superior) so I was worried about being moved to a much smaller room if we complained. In terms of facilities, the bath in room 101 was slippery and difficult to get in and out of. I am not a geriatric but I was worried about falling in it - we also could never get sufficient hot water to run a nice full, hot bath post-skiing (I never usually take baths apart from when we're in the mountains, so I always make sure we have one in the room). There were no tea / coffee making facilities and the fridge was stocked with glass bottles, even though there was a sign in the room to say no glass should be in the room. I have never previously been in a hotel where glass is banned generally, so that was most odd - this meant for example you could not take a drink up from the bar to your room. Finally we found most of the staff to be unfriendly / unhelpful, which was a "

"Excellent location right by apres ski. Shuttle takes you to Pant Maison. Warm and friendly atmosphere and smells beautiful. The rooms were warm and cosy with everything you need. Excellent value for money. Cleaned every day. Staff were super helpful with incredible spa facilities. The sauna was the best. You will enjoy. Breakfast was amazing too. Thanks for a wonderful stay ❤️"

Hotel Principe Delle Nevi ★★★★

📍 Strada Giomein 46, Breuil-Cervinia

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Our room (404) was big enough for two adults and two kids ages 8 and 11. The bathroom was spacious with two sinks and a big shower. The half board package was worth it. The breakfast and dinner buffets are not huge but varied enough and all the food is of good quality. In addition to the dinner buffet (starter), you get a choice of 3 first and 3 second dishes. The desserts were all very tasty. The restautant staff were friendly (bravo Eleonora). The bar area is cosy, with lots of sofas and a live fire. We also liked the spa. The pools are on the small side, but big enough for the kids to play around at the end of a day on the slopes, as long as you stay with them and they are not too noisy (which is sensible). The outdoor hot tub is good and so are the sauna and steam room. The apres ski bar is very cool. There is a live DJ several times a week and the best thing is that you cannot really hear the music from the main hotel area. The free transfers in and out of town were quick, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes. It is decent value for the star rating and location, would recommend it."

Aux Pieds du Roi - Suite & Spa ★★★★

📍 Via Pellissier, n° 4, Breuil-Cervinia

"This is our third visit during the ski season and we hope to return again. Excellent apartments for a family ski holiday. Variety of sized apartments available in a very well run 'chalet-type' hotel. Good facilities - boot room, swimming pool, gym, spa, restaurant. High quality rooms, well furnished, well resourced. Less than 5 minutes stroll to chair-lifts with onward access to whole resort. The most out-standing part is the genuine care and attention given by the hosts/owners, Barbara and Lorenzo. They do everything they can to help - e.g. - dinner recommendations and reservations, ski passes, accommodating early and late departures etc. etc. Would highly recommend for couples or families."

"The hotel is strategically located, and you can see the Matterhorn from its rooms. The room was clean, and everything was well maintained. I’d like to give a special mention to the staff at the Opera restaurant—especially sommelier Vlady, as well as Francesca and Michaella. We were truly satisfied—I highly recommend it!"

"Best nights of our vacation were spent at Hotel Millefiori-can’t wait to return and possibly stay much longer. The breakfasts and dinners were out of this world. The owners and staff work so hard to please the guests and I sensed many guests were repeat customers. It was a great value as well."

Maison Le Cler ★★★

📍 Frazione Moulin, 1, Maen

"Let's start by saying that the B&B is very beautiful and our room (Joseph Louis) was very nice, well-furnished, welcoming, and clean, although it was really poorly soundproofed (we could hear everything going on in the adjacent or above room). The location is strategic for watching the "dezarpa," and the nearby highway, on the other hand, doesn't disturb the peace at all. The breakfast, which we had read was gargantuan, we found good, with genuine, homemade products (we asked for soy or oat milk, but they didn't have any). What really ruined our stay was the intense cold we suffered in the room. Since it was a rainy weekend with outside temperatures between 2 and 5 degrees Celsius, we asked several times if the heating could be turned on; we were told that the central heating would come on at 7:00 PM. In reality, it was turned on around 8:00 PM and turned off around 10:00 PM, while the next morning it never came on. It's a shame, because Mrs. Mara's kindness was truly exceptional, and she was very helpful and thoughtful (we even had the room available until the afternoon). Definitely worth considering in the height of summer, but avoid at the end of the season."

Art Hotel Grivola ★★★★
"We were fairly tired from an entire day of ski and we did not want to eat too much so late at night, it was around 10:00. We shared a pizza and a salad and to our surprise on the bill the tap filtered water was charged at 8 Eur this was in addition to the Coperta which in most restaurants ranges from 6 to 12 Eur. We ended up paying for a bill of 43 Eur, a pizza and a salad out of which 20 Eur was filtered tap water and “service charge”. A disgusting behavior from what seemed a nice Restaurant. We are staying for 5 more nights I will make sure to stay clear of this restaurant. I am well traveled, I strongly recommend anyone looking to enjoy their night to go somewhere else. @owners, if you see this, this is not a way to treat your guests. Cheap cheap cheap, disgusted"

Hotel Europa ★★★★
"I have been staying at Hotel Europa for 4 years now, and I can honestly say that in recent times I have noticed a significant improvement in every aspect. This year I particularly appreciated the organization: parking available for both cars, simple and stress-free management, and above all a fantastic ski room. Automatic lockers opened with the room key card, all heated (boots, gloves, helmet), and an incredible convenience: you leave your room in slippers, take the elevator, enter the ski room, and within 100 meters you are at the Cretaz chairlift. The staff has always been very attentive and professional. The housekeeping team is truly on point: even small inconveniences, like in my case with my dog, were handled immediately and discreetly, without even needing to ask. Reception is always available and ready to solve any request, and I also noticed clear improvements in the breakfast area and restaurant. The spa is also excellent: staff always present, attentive and discreet, ensuring a शांत and relaxing environment, and ready to intervene professionally whenever needed to maintain guests’ comfort. The only small suggestion would be to better promote the dinner service, perhaps with dedicated packages or special offers. Overall, an excellent experience: fully deserving of 5 stars… actually, even one more if it were possible. Thank you very much and see you again soon"

"Such an amazing stay. I have been going to ski destination all around the world for over 15years. This was by far one of the truely best rooms i have stayed at, such a big comfortable private jacuzzi on the balcony we booked the VENTINA SPA suite. It has 2 bathrooms private sauna private steam room private jacuzzi on the balcony and the best view of slopes and the beautiful mountains. And the bestest ski in ski out i have had ever. Directly on slopes and Directly back to the hotel, usually there is some walking or going down via stairs to the ski room. Nothing truely world class ski in ski out. Breakfast was great made to order eggs and waffles crepe juices fruits ect. Dinner was also lovely. The staff was helpful always. Shuttle takes you to the town just phone call and they come to pick u up. Thank you so much for the most wonderful stay. Will surely be back."

Sertorelli Sporthotel ★★★★
"We travelled to Breuil-Cervinia for a family ski trip with friends and stayed at the Hotel Sertorelli not really knowing what to expect. I can say that the standard of service from arrival to departure was excellent, everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect and kept to a good standard. The restaurant was well run and the food was good, breakfast was especially well catered. There’s a nice bar area on the first floor where the service was excellent. There’s a ski room at the bottom of the hotel with each room assigned its own locker. You can hire ski equipment from this area, which was very convenient, although snowboard hire wasn’t possible (hire shops literally 50m away so not a major issue for us) and there is a regular ski bus shuttle from the hotel to the ski lift and back at the start and finish of the day; you can call the hotel to request a pick up outside of these times. There’s a gym but it’s small, I didn’t use it and I wasn’t going there to use the gym so for me it wasn’t an issue, but it might not be equipped to the standards some would want. Some treadmills, a small old style multi-gym and some dumbbells. The wellness area was excellent with 3 jacuzzi’s, and several saunas ranging from warm to hot (Finnish), a steam room and some relaxation areas. If you asked my kids if there was anything they didn’t like about the hotel they’d say they lost the internet in their room, but that would be the only negative I could think of. Overall very satisfied, and I would recommend it; if my wife says she’d go back,it must have been good!!"

"Hotel Millefiori is an absolute gem! When you walk in the door you feel like you are in a very nice club, and they make you feel very special, immediately bringing us cappuccinos and offering snacks while we waited for our room to be ready (we were very early). The room was very comfortable, and had a great view. The lounge was luxurious, and provided many drinks and snacks and coffee on an honor system. They had a sauna and a jacuzzi in a spa area that was heaven after the long trail we had hiked. We ate dinner there as well, and it was truly outstanding. Breakfast was an unbelievable assortment of fresh fruits and mueslis, yoghurts, types of eggs, etc., much like the selection you’d find on a cruise ship. But underlying all these great features was a level of service that I have found maybe at a Ritz Carlton. It was that good. Strongly recommend!"
