If you are looking for the comfort of home away from home this is the place for you. I haven't had that many experiences in my life but I can tell you this is a once in a blue moon location. The hotel itself is jaw dropping beautiful. The staff are the kindest, humblest people i've ever met. The Idea itself of the place is absolutely genius and well executed. I am very particular about a few things due to having some impairments but one thing I value the most is the pet friendly policy. I looked and looked through a LOT of so called pet friendly but at the mention of 3 cats I was always shut down. Not here. They LOVE your pets and just animals in general. There is a kennel in the premises where they house a few animals from the region they choose to care for as their own. The place is beautiful and quiet. Your pets are treated as royalty and like they are part of the family, in fact, you yourself will be treated like family. We spend over a week there and it was honestly the best week i've had in a while. We left overjoyed with our stay and will be counting the days until we come back. With my whole heart I thank you Hotel Cotto do Gatto, you are now something to look forward to every year.

The Hotel location was magical. The views all around was tranquil. The hotel facilities and decor were excellent. But above all, the staff we wonderful and attentive. The best Hotel service we experienced for a boutique family run hotel.

The views were incredible, the staff were so helpful and friendly, the food and drinks were delicious, and the property/room was perfect. It felt like we were staying at the best spa! Tudo estava perfeito!

What a wonderful hotel and experience. The hotel is brand new, clean and shining in every way. Very tastefully decorated. Big comfortable rooms. The hotel sits on beautiful grounds with spectacular scenery all around. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helful staff. Very well located in order to explore the very lush and beautiful areas of Northern Portugal for a lovely and quiet getaway. The restaurant next door has very good local Portuguese food at reasonable prices with huge portions, with a very friendly owner, Jose, to guide it all. Great experience all around and highly recommended.

Cotto Do Gatto was by far the nicest place we have stayed in Portugal. The staff were very helpful, the whole place was perfectly clean and the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We woke up to the sight of wild horses just 20m from our balcony. Just wish we could have stayed longer, hopefully we will return in the future.

New and super nice hotel, rooms decorated well, balcony with great view, nice pool, restaurant nearby if you want to have dinner. A lot of space outside and inside, stuff was great and helped with any request/concern we had. Highly recommend!
