"This hotel is on another level. Everything about it feels perfectly thought through, with so much attention to detail — right down to the cosy socks you can wear in the spa to relax. We were seated at a fantastic table for both breakfast and dinner, with stunning views over the village and mountains. Enjoying such wonderful food each day, in such a setting, was a complete delight. The ski area in Kronplatz may be smaller than some other parts of the Dolomites, but there were still plenty of runs to enjoy over the week. And honestly, when you have a hotel this perfect to come back to, it feels like a very fair tradeoff. There’s also so much to do during the day — guided walks, fitness classes, excursions — that it’s almost difficult to leave to go skiing in the first place! Returning from the slopes to delicious cakes and treats made the hotel the ideal place for a relaxed après‑ski. Our room on the second floor had the same spectacular views as the restaurant, even from the bathroom. If the bedrooms, food, and skiing aren’t enough, the outdoor space truly is the hotel’s highlight. It never felt crowded, and we could always find a lounger or quiet corner to unwind. The infinity pool at sunset after a day on the slopes was absolute bliss. And the auf gus saunas were such a unique experience — once you get used to wearing nothing but your towel, it becomes incredibly relaxing, especially with the open fire and drinks afterwards. The family who run the hotel are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, as are all the staff. The bar team make fantastic cocktails, always served with a smile. One of our favourite moments was the chalet lunch the family hosts every Friday. They open their mountain chalet to all hotel guests for goulash soup and a few beers. You can ski or hike there, and it’s such great fun. This hotel goes above and beyond in every way. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay. We can’t wait to return."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay here at Alpinhotel. We stayed in a suite, and everything was clean and beautiful. All the staff were very friendly, especially all the Lisa(s)/Lisa Marie in the front desk. My husband lost his Ray Ban sunglasses at the pool, and staff made sure to look for it and returned it! Breakfast and dinner were delicious! Overall, it was an amazing stay and all the staff were very welcoming."

"The hotel is located in the very center of Mitterolang village, just a few minutes from the Olang 1 ski lift. Ski Bus station is in the front of the hotel. The hotel is very beautiful, especially rooms at the southern part, which has recently been renovated. The staff is more than friendly, as it is a family hotel. The food is excellent, both breakfast and five-course dinner. Also veri nice wellness with sauna and pool. Fair value. We will definitely be back."

"Very satisfactory stay at this property. Spacious apartment, with kitchenettes separate from the other rooms, very large bathroom, all very recent. Very spacious balcony with the possibility of resting in the fresh air on the deckchairs provided. Very nice park for children, excellent experiences with animals. Convenient laundry service in the basement. Very kind and very young reception staff. Definitely large spa, with Turkish bath, sauna and hot tub. The only flaw at the entrance to the spa area is a sign with rules, which are not respected by the majority of visitors (Italians). Compliments to the owners/managers of the property."

One example of many: on the day of departure my six year old grandson was upset because he had lost his medal from the ski school. So the beautiful receptionist made a phone call to ensure that a replacement would be waiting at the gondola office. This is above and beyond, and typical of every aspect of Bärenhotel. For three families from Australia, with children who had never been in the snow, the staff made every dream come true."
