This is probably the cheapest place to stay in Vail. It’s older and tired but comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the pool, saunas and hot tub. Didn’t bother with the breakfast, it is pathetic. Room key cards kept resetting and not working which was annoying to keep going down to reception . The room was disappointing as we expected a kitchen but not even a microwave in there. It did have a tiny fridge. No ac, you are told to open the windows at night and use the fan, however our window faced the Highway meaning it was super noisy with the window open at night.Great location as you can walk everywhere from here, so central plus on the bus route. The bus is free. No complaints, glad to find somewhere we could afford as everything here seems to be extremely high prices.

Ok for a brief stay
A one night stay during a road trip. This is an older property, but economical for the Vail area. There is NO AC! I missed this in the hotel description and it was a warm few days. They provide a tower fan that made it livable. Great location, walkable to Vail Village. Ok for a brief stop.

Affordable stay in Vail
There aren't many affordable options in the heart of Vail, so this was the best option for having everything within walking distance. The lodge is showing its age a bit, but overall it's still well kept and clean.
Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was the lack of A/C. Fortunately I did not spend much time in my room during the day, and at night it cooled down with the window open and fan blowing.
Aside from the lack of A/C, this lodging met all of my needs. It was clean and comfortable and did have plenty of amenities. More importantly, you can walk out the back exit and you're right at the trail and main thoroughfare that takes you both to Vail Village and over to the Lionshead area and gondola.

Worst Hotel Ever
The hotel was very outdated and had a bad smell as you entered the lobby and elevators. The beds were very flimsy and not comfortable, plus you could see dirty spots on the mattress through the sheets. On top of that the elevators were too narrow and had a terrible smell. Don’t waste your money on this hotel.

The person that helped us when we were cking in was very rude. She went over the bill and said we were charged for a third party reservation and I said well I called your hotel and booked and she said well we show u used ******* and I said no I don’t use any of those and she just said oh I don’t know but you owe. Long story short she wouldn’t listen and could care less. The next day I talked to someone else when cking out and she said oh you’re not the first to tell us this. So why is this continuing? Listen to your customers!

The Evergreen Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our Vail, CO getaway! The location is perfect as it is right in between Vail Village and Lionshead with accessibility to everything we wanted to do! The property was well maintained and the staff was very friendly! We will definitely stay here again!

There was no mention of a Continental Breakfast, but they had coffee, pastries, and fruit available for us in the morning. Nice to discover this!
