Grand Hyatt Vail

As a new Hyatt Explorist, I was really looking forward to my stay at this hotel, but was generally disappointed. The rooms are spacious, modern and the best part of the hotel. The pool was filled to the brim, with no chairs available for many guests. Kids were splashing and screaming. It also appeared that the hotel shares the pool with condos nearby as many families indicated that they weren’t staying at the hotel. Shouldn’t the pool be reserved for hotel guests when space is limited? The lack of chairs and community pool like environment was a disappointment when the hotel charges a resort fee that includes use of the pool. Activities and service are geared towards families. Would have been a great experience if I wasn’t there to celebrate my anniversary without children. My husband ordered a bottle of champagne to be in the room on arrival. The front desk indicated it was in the room at check in (without acknowledging our anniversary or explorist status). It was not in the room when we arrived, which was extremely frustrating for my husband who called in advance. Beautiful rooms and property. Would not stay again.

Our weekend experience at Vail Grand Hyaat was wonderful. The staff was outstanding! Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We will definitely come back.

Very nice property by the creek with walking paths going to Lionshead. Every hotel staff we interacted with was friendly and attentive which was likely reflecting great leadership from the top. Very adequately staffed at valet and breakfast to take care of the July 4th rush. Came in through the Amex FHR program. Was acknowledged check in and at breakfast. Great welcome gift in the room.

The rooms were nice. Staff was adequate. Really seemed to be focused on family program/events. It was probably my mistake to book for an anniversary.

Fantastic property! Excellent location, wonderful views, enjoy the outdoors and the staff are incredibly professional and kind!!!!
