Liberty Lykia Adults Only

Our first experience with the Liberty Lykia Resort was 20 – 27 October 2025. Our choice of this resort for our late-summer holiday was the result of the glowing recommendation of a close friend who stayed at this resort earlier this year. Her high praise for Liberty Lykia proved to be entirely justified. SIDE NOTE: If you are like me – i.e., pale white skin – and you melt like ice cream on the pavement if day-time temperatures exceed 32 – 33(C) degrees, then planning your stay at Liberty Lykia in mid-October might be an ideal solution. During the day, the temperatures hovered between 26 – 28(C) and dropped to a breezy 18 – 20(C) in the evenings, ideal for sitting outdoors with a sweater or dinner jacket. There was a bit of rain here & there, but nothing to spoil our holiday. My first, perhaps subjective or less tangible observation is that the owners and managers of this resort clearly hold themselves and their employees to the highest standards of hospitality professionalism. Unlike many European / North American establishments with similar profiles and clientele, I never once received a pass-the-potato response from any staff member. I never heard: ‘Please talk to X’ or any other version of ‘It’s not my job.’ This alone made our stay extremely enjoyable. If you ask a question, you get as full an answer as could be reasonably expected from that employee’s level and function. The desk / reception staff all speak excellent English and, to our pleasant surprise, at least four members of the front desk speak nearly fluent Russian. The restaurants and the food were top-drawer. In addition to the main restaurant, there are other, equally entrancing options. As a logistical matter, there are two separate resort complexes that mirror each other: one is ‘for adults only’ as advertised; the second is for families with young children. Guests of the ‘for adults only’ resort have badge access to the families-orientated resort, but not the reverse. Several of the ‘theme’ restaurants are located at the other resort complex, but within easy walking distance. The swimming pools at the ‘for adults only’ resort are more than adequate to accommodate sunworshippers. If there are no available chaises longues at the main pool, there are always other options, including at the water’s edge. The beach is pebbly, but the resort cleverly installed a sandy ***** along the entire water’s edge to provide the sand-underfoot effect that makes sunbathing at a beach so special. More small details that had a direct impact on our experience: (1) My wife is the fussiest person that I know, perhaps on this planet, when it comes to maintaining a neat and tidy home. This aspect of our stay was superb. The cleaning staff passed muster, and then some, with my spouse. (2) I am – only temporarily, I fervently pray – confined to a wheelchair.
