We stayed in room 108 for two nights which is the honeymoon room at the very end of the beach. The location of the room was nice and private and the room was spacious. Only dvd player in room and no Bluetooth speaker or WiFi. Also 3-4g phone coverage is average. Not much service from reception staff, but the owner gav tries his best. Car rental available from hotel and they can also assist with issuing temporary drivers license. The resort is relatively far away but if you don’t plan on traveling then it’s perfect or traveling nearby. Do recommend taking some snacks and drinks as no shops nearby and the little supermarket is very pricey there is a dance and fire show with buffet every Wednesday which costs but was good and worth the money. We would go back as there are not many other options on the island but would make a few small changes

I was called names by the staff in Samoan, not knowing that my husband is Samoan. When bringing it up with the manager, she didn’t even apologise for the incident. We then went to the restaurant for bbq, and the waitress poured water all over my 1 year old, and her iPad. No apology was given, and we received a towel on 30 minutes later. Would never stay again.

At first glance: paradise :) Good breakfasts. 2 restaurants and 1 bar. Nice service. Minuses: - no wifi (hotel rooms) or paid wifi in the common area is a bit of a deterrent - The hotel said that the "good" price for a taxi from Apia to the Hotel is 150 WST, where the taxi without negotiations offers 100 WST - the toilet (hotel rooms) just stunk :(

Excellent resort and very good value for money. The adults only rooms are lovely and peaceful. It is a shame there is not an adults only pool as it wasn't school holidays and the pool was full of children. If you are a couple on your own I would definitely avoid school holidays as it would be very busy in the pool and not at all relaxing. The music at the pool was far too loud and seemed to be more for the staff than the guests. Happy to have music but not that loud please. The restaurant was OK but was a bit fussy at times. Keep it simple, fresh fish was always available and should be the star of the dish. Breakfast was simple and good and plenty available.

We have just returned from spending a most enjoyable week celebrating a family birthday at Saletoga Sands. The resort is a good hour away from Apia and the airport but if you just want to relax, swim, eat good meals and enjoy a cocktail or two, then it’s the place to do it. Day trips to various places of interest are also available. The staff are friendly and the FiaFia night and island buffet on Wednesday were a highlight.

I would highly recommend Saletoga Sands, we recently spent 6 nights in a beach front bungalow. The resort is quite a distance from Apia or the airport, but you can hire a car through the resort and it's very easy driving around. We drove on every main road and some three or four times. The staff are all friendly and helpful. My husband doesn't walk all that well and they were all very eager to assist and were very caring. The resort is beautifully kept, the gardens are stunning and everything is clean. It has a spa, multiple restaurants, a boat shed to hire masks and snorkels etc. The pool is large and it was never too busy, I guess because there is a separate kids pool. A couple of very small negatives, but nothing that wouldn't stop me from going back in a heartbeat. Food generally in Samoa was a bit hit and miss, but when you consider most produce has to be imported it's understandable. But I have to say I had the worse eggs benedict at the resort, please tell the chef, the sauce shouldn't be cold and the spinach shouldn't be boiled to death. Our room was lovely and we could not have asked for a better location, right on the water, but could you consider providing a place to put suitcases (we had to leave them on the floor) and we only ever had 1 coffee cup and no wine glasses in the room. All in all we had a wonderful time and would go back and stay any time. Thank you

We three friends thoroughly enjoyed our 7 nights at the resort, apart from a couple of days/nights of torrential rain. Which was disappointing, but we made the most of it. The pool was great for one of us while the other two lived the glass like warm ocean. The freely available kayaks, snorkeling gear and reef shoes was excellent. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We were blessed with a room upgrade to the spacious executive suite. Breakfast was excellent as was the savoury offerings at the buffet on the Fiafia night, which was entertaining. The resort is isolated but local taxis are readily available and an affordable way to travel, with a whole day hire around WST350! Also cheaper to take a taxi from the airport if there is more than one of you, we paid WST150 for 3 of us and booked the driver to come and take us back at the end of our stay. The beds were comfortable, being upstairs in a hotel room we had no issues with mosquitoes at all. Super clean and comfortable. We did have issues with no hot water a lot in the shower. The issues with a slow filling toilet was attended to promptly. The restaurant had a good variety of options, both vegetarian and standard, albeit expensive, the vegetarian options were cheaper and DELICIOUS!! The live singing was a nice touch but somewhat loud. Nice to have a church on site for Sunday. A beautiful and restful resort, highly recommended for a stay in Samoa.

Location and room lovely. Food average but that seems to be standard for Samoa. If you don’t like deep fried food you are in trouble. Biggest issue for us was the wi-fi or lack thereof. Only one restaurant or the hotel lobby gets wi-fi and you need a new password every day. No wi-fi in rooms. A drive outside the resort gets cellphone reception. Intermittent to be sure but no excuse for not having decent wifi-fi in the rooms in a 4 star hotel. We won’t be coming back but I thought the families with young kids seemed to be enjoying it. Also the restaurants all blast loud music and there is no way to escape the noise and enjoy a peaceful meal looking at the lovely scenery.

We loved Saletoga Sands! The rooms were very spacious and featured a private outdoor shower which was great. The rooms have very basic supplies and I would definitely take my own coffee next time as the instant sachet's didn't quite cut it. We took a lot of snacks which was lucky since there aren't a lot available in the little Resort store. The Pool was great and the Lagoon has a few different entry points which were all very safe. The Kids went between the Ocean and Pool all day. The Pool bar was open until 4pm each day, sometimes it would have been nice to have had it open a little longer. Unfortunately they didn't stock any 0% Beers which would have been great for my partner who doesn't drink alcohol. The Cocktails were a little hit and miss but we worked out their strengths, a Margarita was unfortunately not one of them. The breakfast was basic, but also fine. Not a lot of Gluten free options unfortunately. The lunch menu was great and is available until 6pm which was a great hack because we would order for the kids from this menu as the Dinner menu isn't available until 6pm. The car hireage from the Resort was ideal and there are so many great things to see which aren't too far away, including the Ocean Trench which was only a 10 min drive. Overall we loved our stay, the kids were very happy and the staff were lovely and very helpful. We would definitely visit again.
