Fairfield by Marriott Saga Ureshino Onsen

The hotel is located right outside Ureshino Onsen Station. After checking in, you can enter and exit through a side door, which is a mere one-minute walk from the station! The hot spring town center is about 2 kilometers away, a 30-minute walk. There's a free bus, but we didn't take it and instead took a taxi there and walked back. Across from the hotel is a local supermarket, offering everything from food and clothing to frozen meals, which can be heated up in the hotel lounge. The room was spacious, with complimentary mineral water. The amenities were all new, and the mattress was very comfortable. Besides the quiet surroundings and lack of commercial development, the hotel has few drawbacks. It's a good base for those planning a trip to the surrounding area.

This hotel is conveniently located right in front of Ureshino Onsen Station, a new Shinkansen station on the outskirts of Ureshino Onsen, one of Japan's top three skin-beautifying hot springs. It's a sophisticated hotel, offering a relaxing stay, from the room layout and atmosphere to the spacious free space. Free drinks and miso soup are provided 24 hours a day, and light snacks like frozen pizza can be purchased and heated for an additional fee (around 500 yen). The hotel also lacks a large public bath. While there are no bathtubs in the rooms, each has a separate shower room. However, the public bathhouse in Ureshino Onsen, Siebold no Yu (470 yen for adults), is only a five-minute drive away, so I didn't feel inconvenienced. Amenities are on par with a typical business hotel. There's a Toyota Rent-a-Car in front of the station, and I saw many people touring Ureshino Onsen town on rental bicycles. The area around the station is also stylish, with a foot bath, a market, and a roadside station.

A new hotel near the Xiye train station. There is nothing wrong with the hotel facilities of the Marriott Group. The only thing is that there is no breakfast. Secondly, there are no convenience stores or food stores nearby. It’s my fault for not doing enough homework. I saw other guests bring their own food to the kitchen next to the lobby to heat up and cook light meals. I will understand next time 😉 I’m sorry for not taking photos when taking the elderly and children out. I will give you the famous tofu soup and tofu ice cream nearby to recall the wonderful Xiye trip 😋🤩
