"The room has an old Javanese feel, the bed and furniture are ok but the sink is clogged, the cleanliness of the towels is also ok. There were so many large lizards in the room that at several points there were lizard droppings on the table. Overall the atmosphere of the resort is good because it is spacious and beautiful. But I'm not a fan of the room design. Maybe the bathroom and rooms could be renovated so that they are more sustainable and not costly for maintenance, etc."

"Stayed here as part of a family trip and therefore booked four Deluxe rooms. The hotel decided that it would be better if everybody was in one four room Joglo and as this had two Deluxe rooms and two Standard rooms the price charged was reduced accordingly. This was a good move as it turned out that in Joglo Pinayungan the Standard rooms were double beds and the deluxe rooms where twins. No issues with either the A/C or the plumbing though the bathroom in the standard rooms was a touch cramped. The buffet breakfast array was extensive and included everything you might expect plus a few more. As the ‘resort’ part of the name implies there where plenty of activities available, from archery, bike riding both mountain and electric and a good-sized swimming pool. Be aware that the location is outside Semarang and it is a 40 minute drive into the centre. However it is well positioned for access to the toll road and also towns like Ambarawa, Bandungan and Salatiga."
