A very pleasant hotel, a tutu ride away from Galle, but with its own swimming pool and private beach (small), the service staff are very friendly and the cleaning is timely.

This boutique hotel is a fantastic place to stay for many reasons. Located in a quiet position, but only a few minutes walk into the village and on the main bus route if you want to go into Galle. The room was enormous. The attention to detail was outstanding in every aspect. Air conditioning was superb. Breakfast - plentiful and lovely fresh fruit. A very enjoyable stay - enhanced by the friendly staff who were very engaging. Faultless experience. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Absolutely outstanding! Beautiful surroundings with many delightful courtyards to sit in and relax surrounded by antiques and lush planting. Gorgeous pool. The service was outstanding - everyone was courteous and charming and Chathuri, the Manager was so helpful, suggesting itineraries and arranging taxis for us - she was wonderful! The breakfasts were sublime and dinner was delicious. Small and intimate hotel, so you get to know the other guests but plenty of space to lounge on your own. The private beach was lovely and it was easy to get in to Galle by tuk-tuk. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in.

5 stars are not enough for this wonderful place. A special thank you to Chathuri and her team for the making us feel so welcome and at home. The property itself is beautiful - a colonial style villa set in lush tropical gardens, with a pool that wraps around the building, but it’s the people who work there that made it one of the most memorable stays ever. The team facilitated lunches, dinners and even a special lunch for visiting family. They always had a smile and a greeting for our 2 year old daughter, bringing her toys to play with and even treats to eat. The villa itself feels like you’re in a grand home. there are toys and games and books to read, so many pretty areas to relax, hi tub and spa…. there also a private beach across the road and lots of attractions like Galle, unawatuna beach, lakes and Wijaya beach where the turtles swim close enough to say hello are a quick tuk tuk ride away. It was the most memorable stay we have ever had. We loved everything and can’t wait to come back!

The hotel and bungalow was superb, very comfortable rooms and lovely furnishings. Attention to detail was evident everywhere and the pool area was beautifully landscaped and there were lots of Asian antiques. We had delicious breakfasts and ordered a dinner one night which was very tasty. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location close to Galle Fort and a little beach across the road.

Had a wonderful 4days at Sergeant House. Chatturi and the entire team were very helpful and always smiling and chirpy. We are a family of 7, so had taken the independent villa. Everything was amazing, the setting, the pool, the private beach and especially the BBQ dinner they had done for our special occasion. It is a no brainer that we will stay here again and again and again.

Wow what a place! Once you enter the beautiful gardens, you feel relaxed, calm and peaceful. The old buildings are beautifully and sympathetically decorated with so much attention to detail. The swimming pool has some sun and shaded areas and beautifully clean. My husband had a massage, which he enjoyed. Our room was the suite. Now I have to say, I travel around 9 months of the year and this is one of the best and biggest I have stayed in. We compared it as just short of Raffles in Singapore. Every little detail was thought about. Plenty of room for your toiletries, a plug next to a mirror for the hairdryer, socket next to the bed, etc. The evening dinner was very romantic, a beautiful setting in an open dining area by the pool. The food was delicious too. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves as it was low season. It felt like it was your own beautiful home. Sadly we only had time for one night. When we next visit Sri Lanka we will be checking in for a week.
