When you arrive at the resort you might think that it is the wrong place. However, behind the humble facade is a true hidden gem. Don't expect to swim in the ocean - but enjoy the power of the waves hitting the rocks and 'splashing' into the architecture and decor of the resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful and you instantly feel like part of the family. Thank you to everyone for making our stay memorable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Traproban. It’s a 5-10 minutes walk to the centre with all the restaurants and shops. All the people who worked at the hotel were very kind, from the butlers to the housekeeping Subadra. Special thanks to Gihan voor the good care.

We visited this stunning hotel in Sri Lanka over Christmas, and it exceeded all our expectations! The highlight of our stay was the incredible effort the staff made to prepare a traditional English roast dinner, making us feel truly at home while being miles away. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with an art deco feel. The views were absolutely breathtaking, we had a sea view room with a huge balcony. The main infinity pool is stunning. The service was outstanding!! Every single member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. This was a Christmas we’ll never forget. Highly recommended!

Good hotel with very friendly stuff, Subadra took good care of our room with a nice welcome decoration as we were in our honeymoon. The breakfast had good variety and rooms were very specious. One of the lights in our room didn’t work and the maintenance people took a bit of time to fix it, other than that everything went great.

Excellent room with nice direct Sea view. I think we have selected the best hotel at Unawatuna. The staff was very kind and helpfull at any time. We had a great time in there. And also nice restaurant in the hotel. Will hope to come back again to sri lanka.

Its a little hidden from the main road and beach (thank god) but makes a beautiful impression when you enter. Very tasty decor, nice spacious room and the outdoor area is well maintained (thanks to the older man who eagerly cleans every day 🫶🏻). Staff is very friendly and pays attention to guests. Good breakfast wirh lots of choices. The sound of the waves are all around due to the location right on the rocks. I wish Unawatuna would be like 10 years ago though….Unfortunately the town is now full of russians, restaurant menues in russian language and they even start businesses there. Sri Lankan people are not happy with this development and I feel with them. There should be a better tourism strategy. But hotel is nice and also quiet (i was indeed sceptical but really no noices)

Super hôtel, avec chambres spacieuses, propres et climatisées. Bon petit déjeuner avec un large choix, 2 très belles piscines avec un cadre agréable. Le personnel est adorable, souriant et aux petits soins. L’hôtel est bien placé à proximité des restaurants. Je recommande sans hésiter !
