Umeå is not a very touristy place for foreigners, as it's primarily known as a university town in northern Sweden rather than a major tourist destination. However, this hotel is excellent for tourists because it is very conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to explore the local shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions on foot. The hotel itself is very nice and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere, and the self service facility makes checking in and out easy. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. The breakfast is particularly excellent, featuring a very large buffet that caters to all tastes and dietary preferences. The selection stretches impressively from fresh bread and pastries to fluffy waffles, and from creamy yogurt and fresh fruit to hearty eggs with crispy bacon. Overall, while Umeå might not be on every tourist's radar, this hotel provides an excellent base for exploring. Ah, parking is limited at the hotel, but there is a parking garage just 200 meters away, for roughly 15 euro/dlrs per 24 hours.
