A day prior to check in I was asked by email to confirm my arrival. I replied immediately to confirm. No response. The following day I received an email explaining the check in procedure. Then only I realised that their is no check in desk. I arrived 15 minutes early and advised that I have arrived. A while later I received a QR code that did not work. Tried calling but no answer. It took another 15 minutes to get something that worked. Other than check in and check out instructions which were a bit tedious, no other information was shared about the accommodation such as swimming pool and gym location and timings, shop, laundry, etc. BTW, there are no shops or laundry facilities on site. There is a kitchen but no working cooker nor a microwave oven to heat things. Might as well not have a kitchen. Found a cockroach walking in the corridor while checking in. Long strands of hair on the floor in the apartment. Shower is very small with terrible water pressure. On the third day (out of four), there was a power outage at 10am in the morning. No communication from the management. We went back to out suite at 12pm only to find that we had been locked out - the key wouldn't work. We went to reception and since there is no reception desk we spoke to security who said just try after some time. 15 minutes later it worked. By this time we were soaked in perspiration. Later we had to drive around to charge our phones in the car and get some cool air from our car air cond. By 7pm I had had enough and contacted the management again to ask when the power would be restored. They responded with a question asking me whether or not it had been restored. Ridiculous! So I contacted Trip.com who quickly got on their case and arranged at my request to cancel the remainder of my booking and refund me for 2 days. It the process I discovered that they had hoped that the power would be restored by 6pm but didn't follow up. In their defense the power outage was not their fault and they agreed to refund me for 2 days. I just wish that they had communicated better throughout.
