The Village- Jordan Riverside Travel Hotel ★★★★
"Stay away!!!! The location is nice, but this hotel is a disgrace and treats its guests like a joke. We arrived with our three children, along with friends, and had booked—well in advance—a cabin with a yard next to our friends’ cabin. When we got to our room, we discovered that the patio door was broken, making it impossible to go outside to the yard. We reported it to the front desk in the afternoon, and they told us it would be fixed. When we returned in the evening after dinner, nothing had been repaired. The front desk simply told us, “There’s nothing we can do,” and even said the hotel manager wasn’t available to speak with us or return our call. It was an awful experience being trapped in the room, with no way for our children to get outside, get some fresh air, or play on the grass. The attitude of both the front desk staff and the management was shocking, especially for a place that claims to be a “travelers’ hotel.” The complete lack of care and the way they took advantage of the fact that we were stuck there with young children, far from home, was appalling. It felt like being locked inside a matchbox—one that wasn’t even particularly clean. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place."
Camping Dafna - by Travel Hotel Chain ★★★
Erettz Dafna Travel Hotel ★★★
"The other two hotels we stayed on this trip well-exceeded the experience at this hotel. This is a pretty basic hotel and setting as to its accommodations, few amenities, surroundings, etc. Note that it doesn't advertise itself as much more than this from my perspective. It's well-located in the North and convenient to several venues of interest that we explored, including a short visit to Metula."
Ruth Safed by Dan Hotels ★★★★
"We recently spent a long weekend at the Ruth Hotel in Safed. The hotel has a very good vibe, especially over Shabbat. However, there are a lot of little things that did not go well that put a drag on our stay and overall experience. Room - we had a room in the new building. I am not sure if we ordered a room in this building or if we were assigned a room in this section. Either way, the room and building are a bit run down and could benefit from an overdue renovation. "Upgrade" offer - after receiving our room, the front desk contacted us to offer us an upgrade to a room with a balcony. Just out of curiosity, we looked at the room. What the hotel was offering us was a room overlooking a parking lot that also sits on top of a maintenance storage area. This offer we of course declined. Reservations in dinning room - at first, the hotel refused to accept a reservation for dinner on Friday evening. The explanation we received was that they only take reservations from large families or something like this. After involving the hotel manager, we were finally able to make a reservation. Wine bar - we had a bad experience in the hotel's wine bar. The waiter quoted us one price for a bottle of wine and then tried to charge us another price. After again involving the hotel manager, the waiter and wine bar manager apologized to us and corrected our tab. Walking tour - the hotel offers a walking tour of Safed. The tour guide was not much of a tour guide. He only stopped every few minutes to sing a song, which was a really weird experience and a waste of two plus hours."
Kibbutz Malkiya Travel Hotel ★★★
"I had a pleasant stay at Malkiya TravelHotel in a family room. The room was comfortable, well-equipped, and had direct access to the garden, which made our stay relaxing. The space was cozy but a bit smaller than we expected for a family, yet it still worked well for us. The breakfast was simple and a bit limited in variety, but it was enough to start the day. The outdoor facilities, including the seasonal pool, spacious lawns, and garden areas, were very enjoyable. Overall, Malkiya TravelHotel is a great choice for a calm getaway in nature, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere."
Mizpe Hayamim by Isrotel Exclusive ★★★★
"The hotel is of a very high standard Includes all spa services And has one of the highest levels of service we have seen in Israel. However, we were disappointed to discover that the heated pool was actually heated to an inadequate temperature, which meant we didn't get into the pool at all - we expected more than that."
Metulla Travel Hotel ★★★
"For a family with small children, this very simple place is probably a good deal. But if you are a couple and want a memorable experience, this is not the place for you. The location is good, the staff is nice, but the rooms are like boxes. If you plan to stay out all day long and don't need anything more than a bed, stay here."
Magical in the Galilee ★★★★
"Doug Heffernan of Cork 2019 in his review is not the one lying. There’s a good reason the place won’t offer any reimbursement: they’d quickly go broke.Wish I had listened to his review and avoided a miserable experience by not booking in the first place."
The Setai Bayit Bagalil ★★★★★
"There are thermostats in the rooms, but don’t bother to use them. The room won’t get cooler than 23C (73.4F). They’ll send someone up when you complain, but it’s a waste of time and they know it. It was just too hot to sleep. The pool closes at 5:00, so if you want to swim between sightseeing and dinner, you’re out of luck. We are at the hotel two nights and ate at the hotel both nights. Seems to me the cooks never ate a gracious meal and probably never opened a cookbook. The first night vegetables and meat were drowned in bbq sauce. The second night, a slab of smelly duck along side mashed potatoes, probably the least appetizing dinner I’ve ever seen. I really wanted to like this hotel. I couldn’t."
