My room had blood on the side of the bed, out of Kleenex, no conditioner in the bottle in the shower, remote control battery cover would not stay on remote. I told the front desk about all these issues the first morning and all that happened was house keeping came and made the bed and put a couple of new towels in. None of the other items or issues were addressed. This hotel is scheduled for a remake, but if they don’t do a better job with housekeeping, who cares? Very disappointing for a Hilton!

All areas of this hotel that we saw were very clean, including the lobby, breakfast area and our room. We enjoyed the suite with a separate bedroom and a full size refrigerator. The free breakfast is definitely a step above the normal hotel breakfast buffet. The young lady in charge (daughter of the front desk manager) kept the area very clean and all dishes full at all times. The front desk manager, Miss Christine a/k/a Sunshine, was absolutely fantastic. She was always smiling, cheerful and very happy. She remembered us and was very helpful. If we ever return to Tyler, we will definitely stay at Homewood Suites.

Hotel is having some renovations, but overall it’s clean , our room was spotless clean and very happy with it, we didn’t stay for breakfast but I heard it’s good. Christine helped us with the check in and she was very professional and friendly

Just OK
The hotel is a bit rundown but they’re about to renovate. The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette and sitting area. The pool was closed / disappointing for a holiday weekend in July. A sign on the front desk explained that the hotel had posted notice of the pool being closed in its ads, but that information was not on this website.

The property was great and conveniently not far from anything we wanted to attend. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were informed that they were going to be doing renovations soon, which is great as well. The thing I didn’t like is that the pool wasn’t accessible because it was closed due to an issue, so on those hot days we were unable to unwind in the pool.

The common areas in the hallways and elevators were dirty and badly needed carpet cleaning. However, the room itself was in excellent shape and clean, as was the dining area. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were told of an upcoming renovation. We would stay again, in hopes that the carpet would be cleaner....
