Fairfield Inn & Suites Tyler South

Very nice hotel, in a very nice area. Great stay, Great part of the city, friendly and prompt customer service. Rooms were pleasant and clean. I’d recommend for ANYONE!

From the time we checked in until we checked out everything was comfortable and nice. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable with great beds. The kids loved the saltwater pool and breakfast. Certainly will book this hotel again.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this review. I was in town celebrating my daughter's 1st birthday, and I shared this information with Renee, who was working at the front desk. To my surprise, Renee said excitedly, “We love parties! We will make the day special for your daughter.” Erika, a cleaning staff member, overheard our conversation from the back office and said, “We will help you decorate as well!”  Not thinking too far into their statements I ran around town trying to make my daughter's day special. After picking up her cake to my amazement, I came back to see a picture-perfect fully decorated area. I’m not kidding; every single employee working that day came by to wish my daughter a Happy Birthday. They totally went up and beyond making her day so special. It was a day I will never forget and cherish for the rest of my life.  Thank you, Renee, Erika, and all the staff who helped make my daughter's day special and made us feel at home. If you’re visiting Tyler and want to feel welcome and at home, I highly recommend staying here. I know whenever I am in town again, I will stay here. 

We have stayed at this hotel for 17 years while going to the First Monday Flea Market in Canton. This hotel has gone way down! Ice machine was broken for the 4 days we were there Every time we needed someone, there was a sign on the reception desk they had stepped away. No housekeeping so we had to wait (at reception desk with they would be right back sign) to get more towels and toilet paper. Breakfast buffet was minimal. No waffles, oatmeal was instant, no white bread, no bacon on Thurs. We will not be staying here next year, or in the future!

Wonderful experience all around! Checking in was a breeze and the front desk staff so very pleasant and helpful! Thank you!! Our room was very clean, no strong odors— beds comfy and room well stocked with what we needed. Water pressure was a little low, but we were on the 4th floor so that may have been partly why? Morning breakfast was a nice extra with decent selection of food/drinks. Overall just a great little hotel tucked away off main road but close enough to everything Tyler has to offer!! Would highly recommend staying here. As a side note: When you suffer with allergies it can be a challenge to find a hotel that hasn’t had a pet in the room… I was thrilled to see that this Fairfield by Marriott does not allow pets. We have stayed in the Residence Inn across the street (which is also a nice hotel) but they allow pets and it smells, I mean tells. lol

This hotel, staff, and management are awesome and professional. We stayed four nights in November during a Tyler wedding and I was so happy. There were no toxic smells, no hint of scent or harsh chemicals. Typically during a hotel stay I will develop a mild allergy and I didn't experience anything at the Fairfield. The rooms and shared spaces were impeccably clean and beautiful. Keisha, Raj, and Sam went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable from loaning a person cup for my tea that I prepared in my room to providing an umbrella and many other small kindnesses. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. We have booked a room for the Christmas holiday and are so looking forward to visiting there again! I wish I had photos and I will be sure to get some over the holiday.

I was in town staying at the hotel to attend a funeral of a family member. The check in was so quick & easy and friendly. Candice was so helpful in making me feel welcome after a long drive. While I was getting my luggage and by the time I got to my room there was a nice card of sympathy for me & my family. I would definitely recommend this place. Nice shower & comfortable bed. Breakfast options good and enjoyed the food.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. Front desk clerk was rude when we checked in and even more rude when I returned during the night (around 930) to purchase a drink. She was having a phone conversation on the front desk phone that was work related. She glared at me as I walked to the snack area. When I placed the drink on the counter she did not bother to place her phone conversation on hold or even make eye contact with me! She could have at least asked for me to wait a second as she wrapped up her call! She continued to talk as I stood there for about 3 mins refusing to acknowledge my presence by looking at me. She finally decided to give me the opportunity to purchase my drink by mouthing and half whispering the cost. She never hung up the phone or even apologized to me for having to wait as she discussed some repair needed for some equipment! It obviously was not an emergency based on her tone but her ignoring my presence and delaying the purchase of my drink was completely rude and unacceptable. Hospitality Industry and Customer Service should go hand in hand! Too bad the front desk worker was not as nice as the room!
