Residence Inn Tyler

We visit a couple times a year and bounce around to the various hotels in south Tyler. In more than 20 years, never were we charged for parking. The confirmation I received from this hotel made no mention of this and listed the total charge amount. On check out, my bill was $21 higher due to parking charges. On check-in, there was no mention of a parking charge nor did they even ask if we had a car. No one asked for a license plate or anything. There are no signs posted in the parking lot mentioning a fee for parking. When I mentioned this, I was informed that the parking charges are listed in the property information when booking if you scroll down far enough. Really? This is sneaky and underhanded and I wonder how many people are charged for this without their knowledge. Again, the confirmation email with your total does not list this. The property itself is fine but in dire need of a renovation. We were checked into a handicap room without requesting it and it wasn’t very comfortable. Big pool but a tiny gym. Bad breakfast.

The residence inn Tyler is a great property. The hotel is quiet and clean, the staff is always super friendly especially the breakfast staff. Theyre always willing to make your breakfast complete. They were out of oatmeal but offered to make my toddler her own special bowl. How sweet! We will definitely stay when we are in town

First room I checked in was nasty and bathroom was not cleaned. Front end clerk got me new room asap. He was fantastic.

This is the second time we've stayed here and it's a very nice hotel. They even have a bartender who makes excellent drinks.

Safe area and clean room. Close to shops and restaurants. Large room with kitchen and living area.

Perfect! Absolutely LOVED this hotel! The room is great! Spacious! Comfy couch! Ice maker in the frig! Walk-in shower!! We will stay here again!
