Clean, updated interior lobby and hallway. Rooms have dated colors but were very comfortable.

My wife and I were in town for her brother-in-laws funeral and were on a tight schedule, or we would have moved to a different hotel. The main issue was that this property is advertised as smoke free. This is a total lie and falsely advertised as such. We moved to different rooms and everyone of them had been recently smoked in. We finally settled on one that was the least offensive. We went out and purchased room deodorizer, which did not totally alleviate the smell of cigarette smoke in the room, but made it somewhat tolerable. Another issue was the sofa. It was in horrible condition, and it was that way in the different rooms we looked into. They should be hauled to the dump immediately. Another issue came up, after being in the room overnight, when we could hear people outside our ground floor room talking. I moved the curtains to find that the window was not closed all the way. When I pushed on the window to shut it I found out that the locks on the window did not work. So much for security. There was no real coffee in the dining area, just a machine that dispensed instant coffee. The breakfast was mediocre at best and not up to Best Western standards. The only good news was that the room was clean, other than the smell.

The rooms need some serious updates! The windows aren't completely sealed, so there's noise, wind, and condensation build up (on the inside)! The couch in the suite we stayed in needs to be completely replaced (torn leather), and there was a huge gouge in the wood where the fridge sits. This whole hotel needs an upgrade! From the front lobby, the really loud opening elevator door, hallways need new wallpaper, and carpet! The only good thing about this place is the bathroom in the room was really clean! The beds aren't all that comfortable either! We had 3 nights booked and checked out after the first night! With where this is located, you'd expect a better Best Western! The Holiday Inn next door was MUCH better, and a more comfortable bed!!

Will not be booking again
We arrived at 3:30am and usually the room gets checked but after a 15-hour drive, we were ready for bed. When we woke up to shower, the bathroom floor was not swept cause there was clear debris and the tub was dirty. The housekeeper came by, and it was tough to communicate with her but after I checked, I had to call her again into the room because she missed the tub. I had to ask for towels twice because there was 4 us and were given 2 towels. Check out time is noon according to the front desk and the housekeeper is knocking on the door at 10:15am. Will not be staying here again.
