The farmhouse was amazing, peaceful and what we needed to recharge. The house was a perfect combination of vintage and modern. It just felt like home! Beds were so comfy, kitchen was amazing. The aderondac chairs around the fire pit were a great place to relax and listen to nature. The eggs, juice muffins and snacks were a wonderful surprise

The farmhouse was such a wonderful, clean and a peaceful place to stay. The host was very kind by checking in on us upon our arrival and by leaving just the simple little things like eggs, butter, milk, and of course some snacks. My husband and I would definitely stay her again!

We all enjoyed fishing and paddling around the lake. We loved being able to have campfires several nights. We enjoyed watching all the deer, turkeys and chipmunks. It was all so relaxing and peaceful.

Beautiful and secluded from all distractions, close to Amish country for shopping. The charcoal grill was small, would have been nice to have a larger gas grill. Enjoyed the screened in porch and the fire pit! Great place to stay to get away from life for a while.

Quaint family weekend We had a great time staying here for the weekend. The property is beautiful and there’s lots to do on the pond/lakes. The house is updated and well maintained (and cute!). If you haven’t been to the area, just note that many things aren’t open on Sunday. There is lots to do within a 30 min drive for all ages!

Third time there. Overall, wonderful as usual with the exception of being disappointed that the lake seemed too dirty to swim in this time around.

Away from the hustle and bustle We stayed here for a week, and enjoyed our time. The hosts were fantastic - checking in a few times to see if we needed anything, like bringing dry wood for the firepit when the wood already there got soaked in the rain. They even let us know we could stop by their place (which is right near the entrance to the property) if needed. The place is a restored farmhouse. It looked pretty bare when we got there, but we found out there was quite a bit that was hidden from view in cabinets, etc. Just make sure you look through everything when you get there. From what we saw, the "neighbors" are mainly groundhogs, deer and a few field mice, as well as frogs and turtles if you head down to the lake. There are various boats there, but the paddleboats seemed to be more for kids. The canoe and rowboat are more adult oriented, but it was more for exploring the lake, although others have said there are plenty of fish there as well.Although it felt isolated when we were there, we did go into New Philadelphia for dinner a couple of times, as well as supplies. This area, which include a Super Walmart and other stores, is only about a 20 minute drive although you won't realize it until you are almost there,Believe the hosts: you won't have cell service here. Because of the hills around the house, even though 5G service is fine a mile or so from the house, there is none at the house. There is Wi-Fi but it is DSL so even looking up things to do was slow, but it really didn't bother us.
