Baymont by Wyndham Tupelo

This rating is based on an accessible room. Just because it says accessible, it doesn’t make it so. There is no way a person with mobility issues could get into the shower. Hand rails don’t mean they are automatically helpful. The shower curtain is installed in such a way that even a small child would still touch the curtain. Also, for someone in a wheelchair, it’s a tight squeeze between the foot of the bed and the dresser to get to the side of the bed that’s not right by the wall. In regards to breakfast, it was a joke. We got there right around 8 a.m. No milk for cereal, no pastries, no jelly or peanut butter for toast, one very ripe banana, leaving only waffles as an option. The seating was extremely limited, with 2 tables and a counter with some chairs. The price certainly implied better quality.

Room request ignored. Was given a single bed room despite asking for 2 beds. Large roaches. Killed 3 including one that crawled on me while on the bed. Rug was sticky.

The hotel was very clean. The staff were polite and checked us in quickly. The room did not smell funny and was fully stocked with the needed requirements like towels and soaps. The beds were very comfortable!
