Pros: The place is very nice and safe, and the bungalows are just a short walk from the beach. Cons: In-room coffee and tea cost $90 each (usually complimentary at hotels). They tried to charge us for a breakfast we never ate, which someone charged to our room. In short: It's a good place to stay if you're looking to unwind, relax, and spend some quality time on the beach... but because of the sargassum, you can't fully enjoy it because the beach is closed. You'll have to look for other options, such as cenotes and lagoons, which are very close by. Everything in the hotel is ridiculously expensive, but there are more affordable convenience stores and restaurants nearby.

Casa gitano is beautiful! It feels very secluded, cosy, jungle vibe and the staff are all lovely. We had a slight problem with our room on check in, but Era was so helpful in sorting us a new, better room and made it special for me with a birthday chocolate treat. It felt super personal and we loved the space. We would return. Only points of improvement are WiFi / general connection across the hotel and maybe some mosquito spray or net in the rooms may be helpful, and ideally some free bottled water or coffee as per standard in other hotels Thank you again

There were no snacks in the bar and we think they tried to charge us.
The food and drink were very overpriced!
Not even complimentary coffee in the room.
There was no one hardly staying there.
I loved Coco Beach last time we stayed
Great food and nice people.
Don’t recommend staying here!

Very comfortable and nice rooms, the restaurant is beautiful and the dinner menu with Greek food is AMAZING! Our waiter Ian was so nice and attentive! The beach club area is beautiful and not having tons of people around is so great when you want to rest and relax. Thanks for everything!

The hotel is nice and located in a more quiet part of tulum, away from the noise but close enough to walk to all the main things to do. The staff was friendly and the waiter Ian was super atentive. Good quality-price place if you’re looking to be on the beach in Tulum
