This felt like a hostel....Stay at Malca Instead
This hotel experience might have been one of the worst we have ever had - it felt like a youth hostel - the service is non existent both at the front desk (which isn't 24 hours) - and at the restaurant which takes FOREVER to bring drinks and food - the rooms are in terrible shape, everything is old, the hotel is entirely under construction - there is no security presence and the servers barely spoke English - when we complained, nothing was done and it seemed like they could care less - cough up the extra money and stay at Casa Malca

Casa GItano is a gem in Tulum. Everything from food, service, and location is perfect. I want to say a very special thank you to Armando who worked the front desk. He made our vacation even extra special. Also want to say thank you to Ian. There vibe and energy is outstanding. Till we meet again!!

Pure perfection
Casa GITANO is the perfect getaway place for couples. Especially Monday thru Thursday. Very quiet and relaxing. The service was extra friendly and courteous and we always had everything we needed. Our room was just pure perfection- our bed was facing the sea with a small pool on the porch. Waking up with White gauzy curtains blowing in the breeze every morning was quite beautiful. The shower was inside but had an outdoorsy feel with great smelling soap and hair products. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. Also very short walk to nice restaurants and shopping! Great stay!!

Pros: Wonderful staff and accommodating staff at front desk, restaurant, and beach (truly the gem of the hotel). For example, providing ice for an injury in the restaurant and water to refill water bottles, securing the hotel room window that does not lock in my ground floor room. The property is beautiful and great for those who want nice/varied music but not a club atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable- beds/pillows. Con: Most days my sheets and mattress pad had dark stains or yellow stains but smelled laundered (light stains on room seating). Importan nuance: The amenities listed above do not apply to the entire property. There is not a pool on site. There are private pools for select rooms upon booking.

First of all, the hotel is located in the most beautiful beach area in Tulum, right next to the Sian Ka'an Nature Reserve. The water is crystal clear, and the sand is super white...it's truly a paradise escape. The suite itself is beautifully designed with lovely details, and I especially love the golden and rose accents. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The service is good - very attentive - and both check-in and check-out were super easy. I can't wait to come back!

I have been to mexico many times and several properties.
The hotel was overpriced for what it had to offer.
The door to the room would not lock, air conditioner blew on your head all night. Shower had to run for 5 minutes to get hot water. The toilet had to be plunged per day to keep flowing. The restaurant food was just ok for the price and the service was not great. Irene at the restaurant was the best. She was tentative and friendly. I was not impressed with this hotel. I feel as if the IG posts have hyped it up.

This property is not ready to welcome guests.
With the exception of a handful of rooms that have been upgraded and offered to influencers, the rest of the property (and especially the "Jungle Suites" is in bad shape and not ready to welcome guests. We had to change rooms three times and each room was worst then the previous - broken locks, shoddy windows and stained windows, clogged showers and leaking sinks. The grounds are not well kept either.
