Naj Tulum

Great stay, nice rooms and nice to have your own plunge pool. Location is in a new residential development area about 35mins walk from the center

The host was nice. One of the cleaning ladies was lovely, the other looked angry all the time. The room had a good layout however we were a bit disappointed by some features. Cleaning wasn’t up to our standard. There were small insects in the kitchen, fruit flies in the bin when we arrived, ants and a cockroach. Understandably Mexico is a hot country with many insects but some of it seemed avoidable. There’s a gap under the front door so I suspect many insects arrive in that way, as well as when the cleaners come in and leave the door open. When it rained, water ran down the wall near the AC. Speaking of the AC the area it’s located in was damp. I think attention to detail is missing as the overall building has a lot of potential. The bathroom had some mould and on our second to last day the water smelled horrible and the electricity went out so we woke up hot and sweaty with no way to shower. Things do happen and I’m sure a hotel is hard to run but some of these things are maintenance issues. It was nice having a private pool. Construction at the time we stayed didn’t bother us. There are some restaurants nearby some really nice ones. An oxxo shop 2 mins away. Things may have changed since.

Everything was clean, linens were great, bed was super comfortable. Access to variety store across street. Neighborhood is up and coming with a lot of new places, walking distance to great restaurants less about 15-20 min. Fairly quiet, except motor vehicle noise can be heard throughout night. We wanted of May so start of the off season. Would good back again!

The sound from the cars on the street was too much and could not fall asleep. The banister on the stairs was broken and almost fell on us. The last thing is access to this hotel is very difficult. There’s no direct way to get here. It’s a lot small streets you have to take so get your navigation out.

Had an amazing stay at NAJ Tulum. The room gave off the tulum esthetics and we also had a private plunge pool. Had access to the roof top pool as well which was empty each time we went up which I loved! Braulio & Alfonso made us feel very safe and welcomed. Will definitely visit again when coming to tulum. Thanks again!!
