SpringHill Suites Tucson at the Bridges

I stayed here for business and was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is new and clean. Th hotel lobby is spacious and high is conformant for business meetings. The room was very spacious and clean with a dedicated desk area in the room. This is nice for work meetings on line. The bed was comfortable and my room was very quiet, even though I was on the first floor. That was interesting , because I have not stayed in a first floor in a long time. The breakfast was decent with many hot and cold options. Overall good stay

This is the worst hotel for sound and noise I have ever tried to sleep in. I routinely sleep in loop earplugs to deaden extraneous noise in hotels. But in this hotel, I can hear EVERYTHING happening on the road outside, in the rooms next to us, and the hallways, through the loop earplugs! I have been up all night and it is insane. I thought my friend had gotten up to use the bathroom and it was our neighbors. I could hear them pee AND the loud cars outside. They must have built these walls with the cheapest material possible. I will never ever ever stay in this paper mache nightmare again. Btw, we are on the third floor, and still can hear everything. I paid $300 ish for this nightmare. Never again.

Great location; there are restaurants, Walmart, and Costco close enough to walk to. And the breakfast every morning was great! But. . .the rooms do not have a safe (nor does the front desk). The toilets are low, and there is no grab bar in the shower. Our toilet ran periodically, and our sink drained very slowly.

Upon searching for a more newly built hotel in Tucson, Arizona, we came across Springhill Suites at The Bridges. My husband is a Marriott Bonvoy member so we decided to book a room at this hotel for 5 nights. We found out from the front desk that it is a franchise that opened about a year and a half ago. **NOTE: This is a long review that is divided into sections. Feel free to read only the sections that matter to you if you don’t want to read the whole thing. Location: The location is convenient as it is close to the freeway (I-10), Costco, Walmart Supercenter and many eateries. Upon arrival at night, we missed the entry way of the hotel; it is not well situated, there is no lighting by the street entrance and the hotel’s sign is small and located before the entrance. The name of the hotel should be placed right by the entrance to make it easier for everyone to spot. There’s only one entry, so it is a big hassle if you miss it as you would have to go all the way back to the main street and make a U-turn. Hotel Entrance/Lobby: There is a long seating chair in front of the elevator which is very inconvenient as there is not enough room to move around, especially if it is crowded. Many times us and other guests would have difficulty maneuvering around each other while getting on/off the elevator. It is a narrow enough hallway in front of the elevators, and the bench makes it worse. On the outside, the doors to the hotel do not make it look like it is the front of the hotel. When we first arrived, the glass windows to the lobby were all covered and we were confused as to whether we were in the front or back of the hotel. Nothing screams “entrance” or “lobby” from the outside; there is no appeal or inviting atmosphere. Room: Our room was on the 2nd floor, and thankfully our room faced the back of the hotel, so it was quiet and we were not disturbed by the noise on the main street. The room is spacious, toilet is a good size too, and there is a decent-sized seating area and couch with a trundle bed. The wall-mounted television is poorly located, situated in a way where you cannot push it all the back to the wall and if you turn it to face the bed or couch, it would be in the way of the walkway. The TV was also annoying because it kept on buzzing, and we tried to tighten the connections at the back to no avail. In addition, one of the bedside lights was burned, the drawers did not close well, and the writing desk had many scratches and black marks. Worst of all, the toilet sink was not draining so we reported it to the front desk immediately the next morning (which was a Sunday) and was told that they do not have maintenance on Sundays, but that an order will be placed to have it fixed on Monday. We were very surprised that a hotel does not have maintenance available every day. We have traveled and stayed at many places across the U.S. and the world, and have never come across such a thing before. We suffered for 2 nights turning the water o
