Sorry RRR, maybe I was having a high expectation. I waited for 45 min to check-in (From 3pm-3:45pm) but the service staff was great and helpful with our bags to the room. Surprisingly for a 5 star hotel resort, the room is a bit old and the walls are mouldy. Sofa with stain and dirty carpet. Funny enough that the king sized bed are two twin-bed combined, with a small gap in between. so we have to sleep only on one side of the bed, else the gap will make us backache. Be careful with the bathtub are a bit slippery when shower, as there isn't any separate shower room; so you just shower in the tub. The breakfast buffet are full of flies the next day morning.. Anyway, we still enjoy the beach as it was beautiful during the sunset.

It was the best breakfast place i have ever been. The ocean view is fantastic in the morning.

We had a good family bonding time at Shangri La Rasa Ria. There were lots of activities catering to various types of travelers. The beach was long with fine sand, and the sunset view was excellent. There were also game rooms when the sun gets too hot or when it rains.

All good like before.. only our special request not recieved by the resort. So have to wait longer for baby cot, sofa bed be ready..

We enjoyed the sunset the most and they gave us a slice of complimentary birthday cake to celebrate my husband’s birthday really appreciate their arrangement.

Great deal from Trip. location is in Tuaran, but they do have shuttle bus from city/airport and it is very convenient. and as for me, I joined few in house activity and all of them are good.

The hotel is very nice but a bit aged, need to refurbish

Service used to be much better when we visited last year, i think maybe hotel management has changed, not as attentive as before. Rasa ria used to be a place where we felt special to visit. Now its just a nice hotel. Room service and request took a long time, trays and ice bucket did not even clear overnight. I could not even request for an ice latte during breakfast, was told to make it myself. Never had this issue with any 5 star luxury hotel all over the world.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. They accommodated us with early checking and had excellent guest services. The rooms were clean and spacious. The resort is located on a golf course which my husband loved! They also have a great spa! The breakfast was great and they have good other food options with a variety of on site restaurants. We would definitely recommend.

Great resort area, well thought out activities and facilities . However, management should include more board games like scrabble etc. Lots of guests during our stay and sometimes we could not get to play games we wanted. I mean it’s easy and simple stuff to have more board games. Otherwise the food was great. The activities were good but pricier. Not a whole lot of participation. A pity. Oh, I should not miss out- the sunsets were picture perfect..

I enjoy my stay in Shangrila Tanjung Aru more compare to Rasa Ria. Cons: I feel that checkin took too much time as they want to register and snap IC of all guest. Requested baby cots is not available in my room. Pro: I enjoy the sunset at their beach. Its beautiful. In-Room dining food & service also good. Breakfast also good.

wonderful view and  The staff was friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the beautiful view from my balcony.
