"We booked this hotel as a stop over before it was CT hotels and were very disappointed. There is no doubt that it is a classic building and could be a fab place to stay but at the moment it needs work. We saw no other guests during our stay, the snack we were offered was deep fried frozen chicken samosas etc. And the bar did not have many of the items on the menu. There was a problem with the hot water that was eventually fixed. The staff did what they could but the hotel needs to get back on its feet. As tourists we were advised not to venture outside unescorted as not safe. Not an area we would revisit."

"Overall, a lovely place to stay in Pretoria. I stayed there for two nights and it’s located in a safe neighborhood in the suburbs. Carina, the manager, was welcoming and accommodating. Couldn’t ask for a nicer person. Getting to and from the property was easy via Uber at any hour."

"I stayed at River Meadow Manor in Irene and had high expectations. The rooms are cozy and well-appointed, and the grounds are truly beautiful—everything suggests a peaceful, quality stay. Unfortunately, the experience was far from that. I was willing to overlook a few early disappointments: a used beer bottle left in my bin at check-in, a phone that doesn't work to call reception, and no remote for the air conditioner. However, what truly ruined the stay was the non-stop noise from a private function held on Monday, 7th July, starting around 3 PM. The loud music and shouting continued without pause, making it impossible to concentrate or rest—both of which I needed, as I was here for work. It has been overwhelming and frankly, infuriating. While the receptionist I spoke to tried to be helpful, the reality is this was completely unacceptable for any guest, especially during the week. I absolutely would not stay here again."

"An amazing well-serviced long weekend lunch. The service was world class. Our waitress Salaminah very attentive, professional and listened to every request from a difficult bunch. The manager Maghawe was able to change our friends room for the Monday night. WELL DONE TO BOTH OF YOU. We will be back."
