Visited here in early January on a Saturday evening. No parking at the building but literally just down the street. Lovely warm welcome and an extremely well stocked bar with a large variety of gins, vodkas, lager and cider. The restaurant area is small but decor is nice and modern. Lovely menu on offer and the food was delicious. Service was prompt and staff were courteous and professional. Really enjoyed this visit and will definitely return again soon.

Went ere for Sunday lunch. Partner and I had two courses (£20) and it was nice (gravy a wee bit cold and semi-congealed when it arrived after the food). My son only wanted a bowl of soup as he was not feeling grat so we ordered him soup and I did say to the waitress that one course was £15 and she said the soup wouldn't be charged at £15 for a single bowl. When soup arrived, my son found a plastic substance in the bowl and didn't finish it. When the staff came to clear plates, I told her and she just say sorry (nothig more wa said/done). I would have expected the chef/manager to come out and talk to us... When the bill came, it was wrong as they wanted to charge £15 for a bowl of soup (with plastic in it) that wasn't even finished. When i pointed this out, the bill was changed. When we paid, no please/thank yous/apols for plastic on your food. Also, not the TA's fault, but when we were eating, some folk in the pub area had clearly been smoking 'something' outside and the place was full of the smell of it. Staff did close the doot between the resaurant and the pub, so it must have neem noticed, but because staff had to come and go, the smell ingered! We have been to the TA soooo many times without fault, but today was awful!

For a family event, stayed at the TA for the first time. Couldn’t believe how much it has changed over the years! Lovely welcoming staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Super clean attractive rooms. Tea/coffee/biscuits. All you need in the bathroom. Perfect shower. Easy to use and control . Interesting breakfast selection. Well cooked and well presented. Will try the restaurant lunch/dinner next time but by all accounts very enjoyable. Would be great if the restaurant was open Sunday evenings or bar snacks offered

This was our third stay, this occasion was our first wedding anniversary. The style of the bar the amazing bedrooms and the outstanding food quality and service The main reason we make our journey from Shropshire is the way we are always greeted with a smile and proof that she cares and looks after everyone, we have to take a bow and thank you so much michelle for your professional and outstanding approach Thank you so much Jag and Simon Khaira Charles

As a group we recently attended one of the Xmas party events offering two course Xmas dinner and artist. The room was crammed with no room for dancing. It was Black Friday and people drinking in the bar were coming into the party for free. But my biggest complaint was the food! Vegetables were good the rest was awful. Cold plates, a large stone cold spongy Yorkshire pudding. Luke warm Turkey and gravy that absolutely refused to leave the gravy boat it was that cold and congealed. Dessert was just as bad. At £40 per person I think this is totally unacceptable. I spoke to one long term serving member of staff on the evening. One long term member of staff last Monday and I’ve sent two emails. No acknowledgment of the emails and the staff told me no one else has complained. I know that’s not true. I’ve eaten here before and meals are usually good. Maybe it’s coping with mass catering that’s the problem. We certainly won’t be attending any more Xmas party events.

We had our works Christmas lunch here today and it was beautiful. The food was hot, home cooked and beautifully presented and tasted lovely. Only £25 for 2 courses. The service was excellent considering we were a large group approx 20. The function room was decorated tastefully in Christmas theme. Our friends who live locally recommended this venue and it did not disappoint. Best works christmas lunch ever! We will be back again next year and in between.

Prefect stay before BPW ride The hospitality from the lady was brilliant, dinner in evening was delicious and enjoyed the morning breakfast. I slept well, my 14 yr old son struggled a little due to music, it was 10pm though. Maybe hotel could provide ear plugs? Love the room and bed. Shower was great, drinks were cheapest I’ve had in long time. 😁
