Treasure Island Beach Resort

The reason for 4 vs 5 is the pool and pool area. The pool is small and not monitored and young kids are loud, out of hand etc. Clark and Elizabeth at the front desk are the bomb. Great attention to details and customer service. We will certainly return … when school is in session.

This is our new place to stay while visiting the area, Everything was perfect from the check in with Sabrina to the online checkout system. The pool area server was great to deal with and she took very good care of our large family. The pool was nice and access to the beach was not soft sand so it made the walk easy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant provided great meals and the service was great. The entire staff at the resort was so friendly every time we encountered them. It seems that the people who work there like it and provide great service. This may go down as one of the best places we have ever stayed. Kudos to the management team for creating a great experience.

This is the 4th Opal property in the collection we have enjoyed along the various Florida coast lines. Outstanding guest service from check in, housekeeping and food service. From John helping us with our luggage to Kristi at the BRGR, all the smiles and sincere care were greatly appreciated. Love the way a staff member personally checks with you every evening to see if your room lacks any extra amenities before you start your next day. The 2 room suites with kitchenettes are very large, comfortable and so much more like a real beach home than a resort room. Ocean front facing is the way to go. Had dinner twice at the BRGR, and both times it was excellent. My only suggestion since we are mainly beach people and not so much pool fans, is because of the walking distance of the resort from the beach (appears to be well over 100 yards), I would suggest a shuttle ride be offered. Probably a golf cart dune buggy type vehicle with 3 bench seats and room to hold beach chairs and umbrellas to get folks down to the water would be terrific. It is a long haul to the water especially carrying things. It may be prohibited by the city of Treasure Island but worth mentioning. Some of the resorts down in Naples provide that. Overall, the area is great with some shops and other restaurants within small walking distances. Love the included covered parking at the resort too Our stay at the TIBR was very enjoyable! Highly recommend it.

Great hotel, very strange slow 80s music blaring by the pool nonstop. Songs I’ve never heard and I was born in the 80s. More boring than what they play at the dentist office. Not very tropical. We asked to change it up and were told “this is what it is”.

We stayed for 6 nights on a spring break trip after doing a lot of research online. We had a two bedroom king-two queen suite with two bathrooms and great view of the gulf overlooking the pool. The kitchen was smaller than pictured but was stocked with the basics, a Keurig with coffee pods, and water bottles. Room was well decorated, had comfy beds, and was mostly clean with minor issues relayed to management. Room service was great, but turn-down service was sporadic. The entrance to the room was off a busy road with traffic noise. Overall the property was lovely and clean. We liked the direct access to the beach, beach chair rental (even at a cost), cookies in the lobby, fresh pool towels, and the helpful staff/servers. The location is good and we did a lot in the surrounding areas with a rental car. We felt safe with the gated parking and security cameras. Our biggest issue was the pool, which was way too small (20 capacity) and could easily be double or triple the size. The pool was overrun with small children, especially over the weekend. Non-resort guests came in and used the pool area, too, since it does not have wrist-band entry. There was lack of awareness by other guests including the room above us moving around loudly at 2am on a weeknight. There were some inconsistencies with service and no communication as to how to get pool towels with no attendant, how to get the beach chair service, etc. so we just rolled with it. While this is marketed and priced as a luxury resort, it felt more like a nice beach hotel with extra amenities.

We had a wonderful stay in March 2025 with 3 adults and two young kids. We stayed in a 1-room suite with two queen beds. The room was spacious and had beautiful bathroom and kitchen space. The queen beds were extremely comfortable. The pull out couch was very comfortable for the children but probably wouldn't be a great night's sleep for an adult. The room was spotless and the housekeeping staff was very friendly. We loved the pool area as well as proximity to the beach. My kids are already asking me when we can go back to Treasure Island because we all loved our stay so much!
