Aja Travemünde

We had a room with a view to the harbour. A nice and cozy room. Niveau Haus is just at the basement and at the end of the corridor. Not a huge one though. We entered from the basement and used our keycard to enter the place. The way the Nivea Haus employee approached us made us feel like we are intruding. I guess not many entered through that way but rather from the outside. However when my husband asked her whether we entered via the wrong way, she said it was fine. there are certain things which we find it rather weird. The sliding door can only close either the shower room or the toilet. So, only 1 can either be in the toilet or shower at a time. Floor is not carpeted, so be very careful if you have glasses standing on the table. Bathrobes are provided but not slippers. We had to walk to the shop to get some lousy ones at ridiculous prices. Not even a kettle or coffee machine in the room. It was really hard for us to function properly without getting our coffee fix early in the morning. Breakfast was ok. 2 coffee machines in the restaurant and a lot of us spent quite some time standing in the queue. With so many tourists daily during breakfast time, the hotel should look into putting up coffee in thermoses as not all want cappuccino or latte macchiato, etc. The hotel is located at a great location with walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Parking - You have to enter the garage by Maritime hotel.

An excellent trip Excellent location with very good breakfast and relaxing bar area. The spa/pool area was very clean and a great place to spend some time. The hotel is really well located for bars, restaurants and the beach
