Glenwood Inn & Suites

Great little hotel in the Kootenays. My room was clean and had everything I wanted. Microwave, coffee maker, shower, little fridge, TV and a comfy bed and pillows. The staff was super friendly. To my surprise they had a hot tub and pool right behind the lobby area. There's also had a washer and dryer for guests, free of charge! Dogs are welcome too. Can't wait for the summer when the outside pool opens. This hotel will be a regular stop for me from now on.

The price was the most reasonable upon checking for accommodations in Trail. Staff was friendly, with a good in check in and out. The room was impressive. Nicely updated, clean, and spacious. Thick white towels and newer bedding. I have pet allergies, but was not bothered by the pet-friendly rooms. Parking right in front of the room was convenient. And even though the motel is on the main drag / highway, the traffic noise was minimal. I slept well. Good stay.

They’ve taken a middle of the road product and improved it. We have been staying here for three years to go fishing. We assume the ownership has changed. New carpets, a/c units and everything spruced up. This will never be a really good hotel, the location is not good. But with what they have, they’ve done a great job.

We stayed at the Glenwood for 3 days while visiting family and friends in Trail. It was a very hot day when we got into town but they had the AC running when we arrived and the room was nice and cool. We stayed in a studio suite, which was quite spacious with a sitting area, a desk with a sizeable workspace (which my husband appreciated), loads of storage space, and a very comfortable king bed. The room was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Although it is an older property the inn has been nicely updated and has both an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, and exercise room. It is located next to the main highway through town, but as I always wear earplugs when staying at a hotel anyway and my husband can sleep pretty much anywhere, proximity to the road was not an issue and we both slept very well. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which only added to our pleasant stay. We will be going back to Trail once or twice a year to visit loved ones and the Glenwood Inn will be our first choice for accommodation.

The room was great, clean, comfy bed. Location was handy but noisy, being right beside a highway. Couple good restaurants nearby. Crappy WIFI, slow like dialup. so much for getting tunes on the laptop.
