Lakes Resort Toukley

Unfortunately after booking just after close on Website but open on Trip.com which I booked through, I couldn’t reach anyone to tell me how I would access key after hours. Arrived at hotel and waited/tried everything for a little while before by fluke owner passed by on way out & apologised, gave keys. Upon booking room it stated free continental breakfast, owner advised they were not able to do breakfast, as they only just added it BUT haven’t started actually doing it, big let down for travellers like my daughter & myself :( clean room, bar rubbish already in bin upon entry & no jug to make a cuppa. Bathroom room a little bit of an issue to brush teeth with door open. Power point hanging out of wall. Great morning view once out of room. Close to Wyong Hospital where we were visiting a relative.

Very good location. Beautiful view of lake. Small swimming pool but good enough to have some fun. Big and clean room. Kitchen has all utensils. Would recommend.

Overall the room was quite clean Bathroom is very small All dishes need to be washed up and rubbish taken downstairs before you leave or you could incur a $100 fee I feel this is unreasonable if you’re only staying one or two nights especially as the rooms aren’t that inexpensive Only shampoo is available no shower gel or conditioner

I turned up around 7pm and after driving all day I wanted to just relax in the so called "Resort", but I walked in the room and it was absolutely disgusting. The bed was all ripped and the floors were dirty and the furniture was all dirty old mouldy and unacceptable. What my photos show. is not what the website is displaying. Myself & my 7 yr old granddaughter had to go and find alternate accommodation and pay for another motel room at another motel. Next morning I go up to see the receptionist to request my money back for the 2 nights that I paid for and I had to go elsewhere and pay, but he was rude to me and he would not give me my money back. I would never ever stay there again and no one should stay here. So disappointing and a very pricey weekend having to pay for 2 motel rooms, a be ry disappointing experience. Then within a meter from the room door was ripped and dirty chairs and the whole area is dirty and trash everywhere. In photos also old planter box with trash all over it and a broken up chair and an old washing machine and a dirty towel on top which was a disgusting area which is unacceptable. Never stay there.
