"Not recommended for international, non-Spanish-speaking tourists The main reason for our low satisfaction rating is that the hotel does not seem to be structurally oriented towards international and non-Spanish-speaking guests. Communication goes very difficult. A second major issue is the staff's limited willingness to help resolve guest problems. When issues arise, we found little initiative to look for practical solutions, which significantly affected our overall experience. Another disappointment is that the hotel does not offer a picnic option. For a hotel catering to tourists, we consider this a basic and useful service, especially for guests planning day trips. In our opinion, the absence of such an option reflects the same general lack of focus on accommodating guests' individual needs. Apart from these issues, the hotel is generally OK and comparable to other hotels we have stayed at in the Costa Brava region. The food is fine, and the rooms are adequate. Overall: acceptable hotel in terms of accommodation and food, but not recommended for international or non-Spanish-speaking tourists, mainly because of the communication difficulties and the limited willingness of the staff to assist with guest needs."

"Stayed 23/07/26 - 30/07/26 Hotel was lovely and clean, maid service everyday, rooms are basic but had everything we needed (only thing i wasn't keen on was the balcony view, we stayed in room 205 and you cant see anything other than trees, but didnt spoil it, just personally would prefer a better view) staff were all fantastic, from reception staff to bar and restaurant staff they were all really helpful, happy, attentive. We were all inclusive and there was plenty food breakfast was great plenty choice, lunch was good plenty choice, dinner was ok just a bit repetitive (although the soups were all lovely) location was fantastic 3 - 4 minute walk to beach, shops, restaurants, I will 100 percent return, so today all the staff thank you."

"Service: The entire trip was terrible. The front desk was a bit impatient with my room request, grumbling that requests needed to be made in advance. They gave me the first and last rooms in the hallway. The first room was extremely noisy, and the last room required a long walk. This was blatant discrimination! Environment: The main building was very noisy during peak tourist season, with many young children. The elevator was very slow, and the up button was broken. The room facilities were very outdated, roughly comparable to a domestic budget hotel, and the bathroom was even worse. Cleanliness: The quilt was just a layer of paper, and the toilet was filthy. Facilities: The only positive feature was the swimming pool."

"I stayed for three nights, which cost a little over 6,000 yuan, including parking. The hotel has a great location, right next to the beach (public; Tossa doesn't have a private beach). The hotel doesn't provide beach towels, so you need to prepare them in advance. There's a supermarket an 8-minute walk away, and the castle an 18-minute walk. Parking is 21 euros per day (private parking). The hotel service is excellent. The rooms are small and simple, with balconies, clothes drying racks, refrigerators, and safes in the rooms, but no washer/dryers. The hotel has a pool, basketball court, tennis court, and restaurant. Breakfast is served in the lobby on the first floor. The Western-style breakfast is quite good, with coffee, fruit, bread, omelets, and a variety of sausages. Overall, it's a good stay. If you want to go out to the sea, sign up for a 1.5-hour round trip at Foundl Crystal on the beach for 22 euros per person. The video was taken during the sea trip."

The floor of the room could've been a bit cleaner and the TV was tiny. Other than that though, the room was ideal"

"My favorite place on earth. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was super clean and smelled amazing the entire stay. I arrived very late for check-in, around midnight and the access code didn’t work at first, but the staff were still incredibly kind and helpful. They assisted me right away and even let me store my luggage so I could continue exploring without stress. I also accidentally left my camera battery in the room after checking out, and they went out of their way to help me find it again. The hospitality here is truly next level. 100 out of 10"

"An amazing 10 days in Polo Giverola with husband and daughters age 4 and 2. Out room was very clean and the apartments are all build into the hillside which makes incredible views. Our daughters loved going up and down in the funicular to the pool and beach. The kids club was great, we didn't leave them as too young but took them along and stayed for the activity. Really lovely staff running it. The trampolines and mini golf outside kids club were great fun too for younger ones. The buffet food was excellent, lots of variety for starters and mains and desserts. Evening entertainment was a bit quiet but we went to a couple of DJ sessions on the beach Would definitely come back "

"A fascinating location in the Old Town of Tossa. Don't expect your taxi to get you right up to the front door! Our two rooms were spacious and clean and full of character. For a seven bedroom hotel the amenities were excellent with the pool and jacuzzi very well maintained within a very nice garden. Excellent breakfast. Could not sample dinner as we were there right at the start of the season and the restaurant did not open until June. Right from the start we were all made most welcome by Andrea Zoetmulder and her colleagues, one of whom was there at 5.45am on our last morning to help us to our taxi! Thank you, Andrea and Co."

"Putting aside the room cleanliness, which is understandable given the price, this guesthouse was indeed relatively good value. However, when we called the owner upon arrival at 2:00 PM, the owner didn't show up. They didn't come by 3:00 PM, nor by 4:00 PM, and finally a woman arrived at 4:00 PM. She wasn't at the front desk and didn't understand English, speaking only Spanish, so we didn't check in until almost 5:00 PM. We were only in this town for one day, and we specifically took the morning bus, arriving at 1:00 PM. We wasted five hours checking in, and by evening the sun had set, so we went to the beach. Furthermore, the environment and cleanliness were really poor, and the soundproofing was terrible."

"Worst experience! Avoid it at all costs! 1) The room was not clean, the mattress was yellow and the air conditioning was in poor condition. The room was seriously lacking in soundproofing, you could hear the doors slamming from 7am in the morning. (Not ideal when you are on vacation to find a little rest) 2) The buffet gave my partner food poisoning who ended up on an IV in the hospital. Personally, I didn't eat anything because I could tell that the food in the buffet wasn't fresh. When I went to complain to reception, the manager told me that my partner simply couldn't stand the heat (we've been on vacation in Spain for a month... I think if my partner didn't stand the heat well, it would have already been noticed). In addition, the doctors confirmed that it was indeed food poisoning! 3) The staff is more than unpleasant, we are almost afraid to ask them for information... My partner fainted IN FRONT of the receptionist and she asked him for 2€ to help him and bring him a bottle of water, even though he was in a very bad way (because of food poisoning caused by the buffet). 4) We went to the hospital and locked our room. When we came back, our room was open, all we had to do was push the door to get in..."

"Just returned from two weeks at the Hermes Hotel what a lovely relaxing holiday. Francesa and Isabel are lovely make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotless, the beds and pillows are quality, there was always plenty of hot water and the shower good. The air con also good. We are not beach people so we sat on the sun terrace to relax and to cool off in the Jacuzzi. The hotel is ideally located just a short stroll from the bus station, bars, restaurants and shops all close by. "
