Days Inn by Wyndham Topeka

William Hayes 1/5 just now on Google My kids were coming from out of town so my wife went and paid for a room at this hotel. When my kids finally showed up to the room they found roaches in the room. No refund was offered. When we went back in the morning to get back the deposit that we had to leave for such a dirty and disgusting room, the kids were accused of destroying the room breaking the TV and doing other things. Talked with ownership they are not going to refund anything or give us back our deposit. The desk agent Christy was very rude and was throwing racial slurs as we were trying to have a casual conversation with her voicing our concerns and even threatened to call the police because she was not cooperative and showing us proof of damage. Not a great place to stay, customer service is horrible and ownership needs to get the flag taken from them

Honestly, I booked my room for just one night based on price. I was not expecting much due to other reviews. I am a widower and travel solo these days so decided to take a chance. I was checked into my room by the night manager, a wonderful lady who greeted me with a smile. She put me into a ground floor room next to the gorgeous indoor pool. The check-in was handled professionally and already, I could see the reviews I had read were not entirely accurate. I walked into my room and found it clean as a whistle. My queen size bed was comfy too, with crisp sheets and comforter. The bathroom was clean and shiny as well. I knew then this was not a run down inn, but a place that had been refreshed over its 45 year history and they were trying to keep it nice. I slept well and the room met all of my needs nicely. I checked out in morning about 10:30 am after enjoying several cups of their good coffee in the lobby. I met the day manager who also greeted me with a smile. She was very nice and I said I would return in October for 4 nights in Topeka. Give the place a try folks. The new owners are trying to impress.

The ladies at the front desk were great. Very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Pool was cold, but felt nice on a hot day. The inside of the hotel was a lot better than the outside. Looks dirty and unkept from the outside but was happily surprised once I got to my room
