"A very well-located 3-star hotel with a clean room and comfortable beds. The hotel had a problem with the air conditioning; it wasn't working. We complained at reception after a second very hot night, and seeing that the following night might be the same, we suggested moving to the hotel next door (from the same chain) by paying the difference. They were incredibly accommodating. When you go on vacation, you don't want anything to spoil it, but these things can happen. In these situations, you expect the hotel staff to offer solutions, and that's exactly what happened. The staff were all wonderful, including the hotel manager who personally attended to us (it was a Sunday) and facilitated the move to the neighboring hotel. He not only refused to charge us the difference but also thoughtfully included breakfast. It's wonderful to encounter people like that these days."

Very clean, comfortable bed, pull-out sofa bed, beautiful unrestricted views of the city, well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom. It’s an ideal place to stay in Toledo. Try and avoid bringing heavy suitcases because it is a steep walk from the car park, which is unavoidable as this is the authenticity of the city, but prepare for it by bringing less rather than more. The owners/agents were very responsive before and during our stay. Finally, a really amazing rooftop terrace which is shared by all building occupants."

"The guesthouse in the old town is right opposite the cathedral entrance, easy to find. It's a very old and interesting little building, and the rooms are very clean. There are too many photos to find here. If you have time, it's worth staying overnight. Toledo train station is also very convenient, located at the foot of the hill."
